Checklist for Posting

I recommend consulting these steps before posting. Several of these do not apply to forum games.

**Step 1**: check to make sure that the post has not been posted before. This can easily be done by using the search bar

**Step 2**: Post in correct forum. Don't have a mod waist his/her/its time moving your thread.

**Step 3**: Check for Flaming.
**Definition of Flaming**: Flaming is the hostile and insulting interaction between Internet users. (see [Wikipedia's article on flaming](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flaming_%28Internet%29))

**Step 4**: USE SPELL CHECK! This will fix several typos

**Step 5**: Check grammar. Make sure that your post makes sense! If you suck so much at it, copy and paste into Microsoft word and let your computer perform the work.

**Step 6**: Cut down on 1337$P3@lC. Not everybody has the time to translate.
**Definition of leetspeak aka leet aka 1337$P3@lC**: a written form of slang (technically an argot) used primarily on the Internet, but becoming increasingly common in many online video games,[1] which uses various combinations of alphanumerics to replace proper letters. **Step 7**: Cut down on emoticons. These will create lag for some users and can become annoying. Try and limit to a maximum of 1 per sentence.

**Step 8**: Use the preview button. Be sure that the post looks like how you want it to look.

**Step 9**: Reread your post!

**Step 10**: Editing posts are good! Not many people like to dig through multiple pages of posts.
REMEMBER TO HIT PREVIEW AFTER EACH EDIT!

**Step 11**: Delete unnecessary posts.

**Step 12**: Give credit when credit is do.

**Step 13**: Check the date. If the last post was more than 15 days old, don't post. (Thanks to IceCream Tuesday)
**EXCEPTION**: You can post after 15 days if it is your own topic OR you received a request to post. (Thanks to Soljah)

**Stuff NOT to post**:
- Pron (mispelled on purpose)
- links to websites containing the words "Torrent", "Crack", "Hack", "Serial", or "keygen" on them. These usually are malicious.
- stuff degrading Eclipse and saying competitors are better. Dont recruit, just leave silently.
- Advertisements.
- Ways to hack Eclipse, Eclipse Games, Eclipse engine, etc.
