Optimus Princeps

My english is very sucks =/. I can understand and talk in english but to make a formal writing i dont guess its possible xD  (its really truth that my english is terrible, probaly you will see many mistakes in this post >.<)

Optimus Princeps is the name of the MMORPG that i am try to make.

I did a Story-Line(a little long), dont know if its good or not because i never read any other.

The Game needs serious people that have some skills (better then mines actually).

I dont want people who are closed mind who only has a skill in mappin’ or only scripts,i want multiply skill (i said that my english is sucks ^^).

Now here is what the game needs:

Mappers (examples)
Scripters
Designs (GFX, Gui, papperdoll and sprites)

Its not a big team, i need people who has at least 2 of this habilits.

If somebody is thinking “ohh and what u gona do?”

Im not a Advanced Member, but i have lots of free time, experience with computer (Programing (C++, Pascal, PHP, SQL), Maintenance, Web Design and other). I may also:

Mapping
Host
Create a Site
GFX (a little)
And if someone has patience i can learn scripts

PS: I need a team, not servants that makes every thing i said, we should discuss every aspect of the game first. You should give opnion and ideas.
I’ve played lots of mmorpgs, and i know that is god and not in a game.

Now lest see some info about the game.

Story-Line

*All the names in this story is only to easily understand, when the team is complete we shall discuss the real names even the real story-line if its necessary.

Prefacio – Optimus Princeps

The story become in a medieval  world abundant of greed and cruelty, but also with good and bold people. “Hesty” God from the gods decided sent over “Terra” yours four sons.

They should rule the world without “Hesty’s” envelop. The God’s sons used to be known as Optimus Princeps and they were: Lucerar, Soul Oroshi, Granger Guild and Devilry.

Lucerar was brave and strong, with his extraordinary skill with Swords, Axes and Clubs also with his incredible physical body could beat all his enemies easily.

Soul Oroshi, just and noble he used to know handle the bow better than a God.

Granger Guild the most intelligent and acquaintance of the God’s sons, she dedicated devote herself to the way of the magic of life and aid.

Devilry envious, greedy and arrogant, dedicated hiself the way of death magic.

Chapter 1 - Dacico

Each son of “Hesty” owned a faction, where yours followers learned with the Optimus Princeps skills of combat , each one schooling a art, each faction had the title of your leader and yours followers used to be known as: Lucer (instructed by Lucerar), Oroshis (instructed by Soul Oroshi), Grang (instructed by Granger Guild ) and Devil (instructed by Devilry).

The Optimus Princeps and yours experts followers commanded a counsel, that was called Dacico, this counsel decides the track that “Terra” should walk.

But the Dacico used to be more and more dominanted by Devilry, that did folly proposals just to ridicule the counsel, that wishes the expelling of Devilry of the Dacico.

Chapter 2 – Betrayed

Devilry that had a lots of followers because of fame of the death magic, there was planned his rising and destroying of his brothers.

He did innumerable altercations in the Dacico, to decrease the power of the counsel, every day the altercations increases and the situation in the Dacico becomes intolerable and the counsel is dissolved.

Lucerar, Soul Oroshi and Granger Guild bring up a new counsel that still called Dacico, but this time without Devilry and his followers.
Devilry on the other hand, feigned as betrayed and used it as apology to recruit new members, to what he called of My Struggle, his faction had the same number of members as all Dacico and his decided starts his rising, dominating the city of “XXX”.

The Dacico with courage and nobility decided confront Devilry, but Granger Guild has said that will not fight, because “they could beat the foe one or twice but they can not finish with the Evil”, and also said to Devilry “that in a war there is no winners”, but some followers of Granger Guild forsake her, and decided to fight against Devilry but anothers keep loyal.

Chapter 3 - My Struggle

War had started battles spread for the world, despite of Dacico fighting for peace and goodness the world fell in the Darkness. Robberies, murders and injustices predominated in a world without law.

All the creatures of the world had involved in this war: dragons, demons, giants, orcs, dwarves, elfs, fairies and other creatures. The fairies had been responsible for creating magical armors that preserved the life, and the dwarves had created the most terrible weapons with the power of the destruction.

Warriors had been born and died, passed three hundred years and war continued. However in the Plain of  “XXX” where today is the Temple of Glory there was the biggest battle of history, thousands of followers of Lucerar, Soul Oroshi and of Devilry had battled for they lives but in the end of the battle the Evil had success, Lucerar and Soul Oroshi were killed by Devilry who had the “Magical Device” that increased his power.

With the death of Devilry’s enemies now he has a free way for his ambitions and to become the sovereign of the world forever, but in his thought there was a person who still having power to beat him.

Chapter 4 - Magical Devices

Granger Guild that after the death of her brothers decided to disclose the truth and assumed the command of the Dacico’s army and the followers who had remained loyal to continued the war. However, her faithful followers had been trained to use some death magics and had enormous power.

The battle this time was fast, Granger Guild did not have problems to defeat the My Struggle but Devilry continued alive.

It was then in an ambush to Devilry that Granger Guild had the possibility to defeat the enemy but Granger Guild did not know the existence of the “Magical Devices” and was surprised handle by the enormous power of Devilry and his Devices, and when she was almost defeated by Devilry, that Felix the loyalest and strongest of the followers of Granger Guild had the chance to destroy Devilry that was busy with Granger Guild, then he used one of his powerful magics to defeat Devilry. Granger Guild was almost dying, but she still had forces to collect the Magical Devices and to hide them in the places most inhospitable of the world, so that nobody could use them again. But she never came back

Chapter 5 - Days of Glory

With the death of the Optimus Princeps the "Terra" come back to be as it was before, however still existed they followers. Felix the Hero of the Days of Glory decided to remade the Dacico, formed now for the main followers of Lucerar, Soul Oroshi and Granger Guild.

Was decided by the Dacico that the person who used any of the teachs of Devilry should be deceased, and his faction was banished.

After this the faction remaining had created positions, all factions had 4 positions.

Apprentice of Lucerar - Lucer - Master Lucer – Lucerar
Apprentice of Soul Oroshi - Oroshis – Master Oroshis - Soul Oroshi
Apprentice of Granger Guild - Grang - Master Grang - Granger Guild

But a member of each faction would have the last positions.

Although some followers of Devilry still appeared and caused problems, never had a period of so great darkness as the ones that had passed.

Vocations

Only 3 vocations in the game.

Knight (Lucerar) specialist in Melee attack and Defence, low Magic.

Archer (Soul Oroshi) specialist in Distance attack, medium Magic, low Defence

Mage (Granger Guild) specialist in attack/suport Magic, low Defence and Melee attack

Each of this vocation will have four positions/promotions

PS: if you ready the Story-Line you gonna understand why this names.

Skills

I dont know exectally how the skills would be im thinking something like that.

If you level up you gain 1 point to distribute in this skills (if you are a apprentice)

If you are a knight(Apprentice of Lucerar) when you use a point in magic its add 1 point in magic to you then if you use in Sword its add 3 points to you.

In first seen, its shows that Lucerar is the strongest and Soul Oroshi is also good, but Granger Guild is a bad vocation, but its not true when we make the magics we gonna balance this.

Another option is wihdraw the points each level.

Every hit you give with a certaly weapon (or magic) you gain a point in this weapon when you reach in 200 hits you gain a level in this weapon.

example:

Im a Soul Oroshi, im using a bow im on Distance Level 1 and i need 200 hit points to reach Distance Level 2, every hit i give is a hit point when i have 200 i go to the next level then will be needed more then 200 points. The damage and defence

I guess that this way is better then any other, if you are a Lucerar you gonna need only 200 to up a level in Club but to up Magic Level its gonna be more hard like 500 points (Magic Level should be gained using MP, Defence by the hits you take and MP/HP you gain every level depends on your vocation) .

PS: If you read it carefully you saw that i said “I dont know exectally how the skills would be.”

Guilds

The guild system will not have special scripts only the basic, a character creats it and he gonna be the Leader there will be not a max number of members and there will be Guilds Hall it is a big house that can be bought only be Guild Leaders and it will have lots of rooms to be rented by the members.

Capacity

There is no limits to carry itens, only capacity points, at each level you advance you can carry more items.

Example:

You are a Grang and have 300 carry points, a shield weights 50 weight points (i dont know this units in english) then you can pick up this item but yours carry points down to 250 points until you drop it, every level you receives carry points but its different for each vocation.

Regeneration

There will be three ways to regenerate HP/MP, the cheaper is eating some food droped by the creatures or buying in a Shop, it’ll regenerate slowly every food will have a determined time (seconds) and each vocation will regenerate HP/MP differently.

Example:

A Grang eat a apple, apples have a duration of 120 seconds, and a Granger heals 1 HP every 6 seconds and 1 MP every 2 seconds, then eating a apple a Grang regenerates 20 HP / 60 MP.
Other way to heal youself is using Potions, its will be really expencive and it can be only found in Shops.

The last way is the simpler, using magic but will have like three magics of selfheal, Lucerar can only use the simple, Soul Oroshi and Grang all of then, and only Grang can uses mass heal magics (cures more then a person).

This is some information about the game, there are many other elements that i didnt say(the betters), in other hand, the game will need lots of work, time and patience too.

Optimus Princeps in english means Perfect Princeps its latim, Trajano was the best imperor of Roma then he was known by Optimus Princeps and was in his command that Roma had its better phase (http://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trajano (in english there are its too)).
