*Super Smash Bros. Brawl Character Speculation Thread*

There has been a lot around the internet lately about roster size in SSBB. A few people have made predictions like the exact date of updates, and certain people returning including Ness, which is now proven true. Lucario and Jigglypuff were also proven as playable characters.

It should be showing the groudon sticker, and small pictures of Lucario, Jigglypuff, and PT(Pokemon Trainer). The moment at 4:20 does not prove Ness, but also in this video a sticker shows that Ness and Lucas can use it. I don't know the exact moment to pause it.
Look in the bottom right corners for the icons. The second picture is the one with Ness in it.

Now, many people on the internet have predicted Ness's return, they say Lucario is replacing Mewtwo, they say Wolf will be a playable character, and R.O.B. willbe a playable character (supposedly the WTF character, like Mr. Game & Watch in Melee). He would make an ideal WTF character.

Now, these so called "prophets" also said there will only 35 characters in the whole roster. In my opinion, that one prediction right there says that these people are fake. They may have been right in a few cases, but it may have been just luck.

My reason for this is:

Super Smash Bros. 64 - 8 starters, 4 unlockables.

Melee - 15 Starters (Shiek counts), 11 unlockables (counting clones)

Brawl - 25 starters (Zamus and Shiek count, assuming Ganondorf is in, and Ness was proven), 4 known unlockables (Sonic, Snake, Jiggs, and Lucario)

Now, many people have heard of Brawl's recent 1 month delay in the US.

Originial Release Date: November 19, 2006
Delayed: Holiday 2006
Delayed: December 3, 2007
Delayed: February 10, 2008
Delayed: March 9, 2008

Since this was announced at E3 2006 as a launch title, it must have been in development for at **least** two years. Meaning, this game was probably in development for approximately 4 years.

Why would there only be 35 characters? That is ridiculous. We'd only get 6 characters to unlock that we don't know about.

The creator, Masahiro Sakurai (AKA God in some people's opinions) said he would like to see 50 characters. Why would he make such a high prediction if he were to only have 35 characters? He wouldn't. They have had plenty of time to make more than that.

One other thing: This is Sakurai's last time directing Smash. Some people forget, Sakurai said he will put all his effort into this game, to make it the best it can be. He doesn't care about future entries to the series, so he will load all of the content he possibly can. That has already shown with many of the features we have seen.

Honestly, I am expecting 40-45 characters. Remember, I'm not putting down R.O.B. He would be an awesome WTF character. But, Sukapon would be better. :)

Edit 2: Apparently, someone got hold of the game and leaked the whole roster. I don't know if it's true, but I'll share the info anyway.

What's weird about this though is that it says captain olimar is an unlockable, but he is on the starting roster select screen. Either it was just a mess up, or I don't know.

Is this real? Right now, the Smash community is going crazy with roster leaks. Only five days until I find out the truth.
