Guide on how to port forward for people having Kaspersky Antivirus.

It is quite easy and I am quite sure that many of you would have done it. But still it is for those who haven’t.

There are two ways to do it.

The first one is that –

1. Add the port you are using for your server in the Windows Firewall Exceptions (for those who use Windows XP SP2). You must be knowing how to do it. If not then pm me.
2. Then pause your Kaspersky protection.
3. Now open your server.
4. To check whether you have port forwarded it correctly go to www.canyouseeme.org Just write the port number you are using in your server in that blank box below the place where your ip address is written. Click the Check button.
5. If you can see something like this –
Success: I can see your service on 202.88.xxx.xxx on port (4001)
Your ISP is not blocking port 4001\.

4001 is my server port number.

Then you have successfully port forwarded your server.

The Second way to do it is –
1.  Add the port you are using for your server in the Windows Firewall Exceptions (for  those who are using Windows XP SP2). You must be knowing how to do it.
2.  Open your Kaspersky Settings.
3.  There you will see a new Kaspersky window has opened.
4.  On the left hand side click the Anti – Hacker option.
5.  Your firewall must have been enabled. If not then great. You can port forward your server without the firewall on.
6\. If you want that it should remain enabled and also if you want to port forward at      the same time then click on the Firewall settings.(Kaspersky Firewall)
7\. Click the add button and browse your server location.
8\. It will ask you the application rules for server.
9\. First click on New Application rule or whatever you name the first rule.
    You’ll see 4 options –
      Remote Ip Address
      Remote Port
      Local Port
      Time Range
10. Choose Local port. You will see something like this down below  –
Local Port : Enter port
11. Click on it.
12. A new window will flash.
13. Enter whatever the port number you are using in your server.
14. That’s it.
15. Now again check if you have port forwarded your server properly or not by going to that site and doing the same steps.

EDIT : Someone deleted my whole tutorial. I had to make it again. >:(
