Depending on your Cam angle you want to have the bush shaded to add a much better effect and to make it not look like a chunk of grass.This helped me in some basic Shading ideas.http://www.drawspace.com/lessons/view_lesson.php?id=g02You can use the burn/doge tool of whatever gfx editor your using, but if you have the option i would turn down the alpha.I can help you more if you say what editor your using.
