Sevg Posted December 18, 2008 Share Posted December 18, 2008 The source code is the essence of the application, it manages the program behavior, the options, everything.To edit the source code means to edit the program essence.And yes, as Spainion said, Open source means "free-to-edit", anyway it has a limitation, most (if not every one) open source programs can be edited as long as you don't delete the credits.
