[Tutorial]: How to create amazing Pixel creations with Photoshop.

Well, I noticed that there is no board for graphic tutorials (correct me if i am wrong), so i decided to just post this in graphics.

[Note] This is a tutorial on how to use photoshop correctly to create pixel creations, NOT how to get photoshop or anything besides creating pixel creations.

[Note2] Red Circle = Right Click  Blue Circle = Left Click

**Choosing the correct colors**
importance level: [ 75/100 ]

* * *

[step=1] Open Photoshop (truly, the version shouldn't matter too much)

[step=2] Click on one of the two colors in your palette.


[step=3] Change the Color Mixer style to one that fits your needs.


[step=4] Find the right color by playing around and adjusting brightness, and color.

[step=5] Create your own palette on a new layer (ctrl + shift + n = New Layer), and name it palette.

**Setting Photoshop into the "Pixel Mode"**
importance level: [ 80/100 ]

Turning Anti Alias off:

[step=1] The easiest way to do this, is to right click on the Marquee Tool:


[step=2] Now left click on Anti Alias and make sure there is no check mark anymore:


If at any point during your pixel creation you see that anti alias is on, make sure to turn it off.

Making the tolerance level 1:

[step=1] Click on the Magic Wand tool:

[step=2] Change the tolerance to 1 by clicking on where it says "Tolerance: 32" and typing "1" where it says 32.

If at any point during your creation you notice that the tolerance is more than 1 make sure to change it.

**Tips/Tricks**
importance level: [ 50/100 ]

* * *

* Create an outline of what you are making first. (I actually hardly ever do so)
* Use ONLY the pencil tool when drawing. (how to switch to pencil tool is above)
* Create 32x32 Textures first, then copy and paste them into the outline, and add depth.
* Make sure to create a grid for when making tilesets (how to create a good one is above)
* Make sure to take your time. Most pixel artists aren't patient with their work and therefore it turns out horrible.
* While holding shift, you can click in one spot and then another, in between the gap it will make a line.

Make sure to tell everyone to use only pencil, turn off AA effects, and to set all tool tolerance levels to 1.

i know, and about the importance level. The reason it is like 205/100 is because when you see something that's like 25/100 you think it is small so i thought you know, 75/100 and then 80/100 is just a bit more important. So don't worry about it being over 100 lol.
