Hippoman789 Posted June 2, 2009 Author Share Posted June 2, 2009 http://afteractionreporter.com/2009/02/09/the-complete-and-utter-newby-tutorial-for-dwarf-fortress-part-1-wtf/USE THIS TUTORIAL given to me by King Leonidas.Theres a few things it wont mention….Ok so after reading this...i got lost a bit. had to fend for my own.your most used buttons will be 'k' 'd' 'b' and 'v'**EMBARKING**so when you start you want to choose a few good techniques.use the arrows to choose a person. press right on the keyboard…then use the arrows again then press the '+' and '-' to add skill.2 miners. 1 woodcutter. 1 carpenter. 1 mason. 1 farmer that brews too. and the others you can make your own.but wats this? when making your person a farmer...you cant get it up to proficient...so press the TAB button then go over the Iron Anvil and press '-' on the number pad.so add some new items...its all explained on the lower bar.**IN GAME**use 'v' then 'p' then go from there. this is a very usuful page. it'll allow you to assign dogs, work, how to hunt or soldier, and you can activate the military here.OK IM SORRY I NEED TO WRITE THE LEST LATER.
