Arms are lower than the waist.When making a character template, use your own body as reference. E.g. heads aren't circular, they come to a broad point near the bottom.Other than that, can't wait to see it in color. That's the part that can make things look better. Waistline is a bit low, but that's alright for the size and perpsective of the sprite (although to improve the perspective, make the head a little bigger and move it down (or "forward") ever so slightly).
