whittenator25
Would it be possible to put all of the client files and server files into the autoupdate setup that way me and my partner wouldn't have to keep sending each other files? Ruins of Hell
Yes. The auto updater is multipurpose. Although I wouldn't recommend it for this kind of stuff. Try [something like dropbox instead.](http://www.dropbox.com)
whittenator25
Alright so say he is doing coding on the server side and client side and he wants to update his work to my computer before I start working on my coding….what files would I need to attach to the autoupdater? Ruins of Hell
He would have to upload the /src/ directory (in client and server) at a minimum, although doing the entire Origins folder might be beneficial in case you do any map work or NPC work. But when I say "upload", I mean, upload to a webhost, which is pretty impractical.
whittenator25
Okay thanks. So in your opinion what way would be the best to let me and my partner work together on coding and update it to each others game without have to pretty much redo the code yourself? Ruins of Hell
*shrug*Generally, people use something like [github](https://github.com/), [s](http://tortoisesvn.tigris.org/)[v](http://subversion.tigris.org/)[n](http://subversion.apache.org/), or [mercurial](http://mercurial.selenic.com/). For a small project such as this, those might not be the best choice (rather steep learning curve, a little weird on Windows Systems). I recommend just using [Dropbox](http://www.dropbox.com/), because it should be simple to use and quite easy to set up.
