schnurman
Hello, I havent touched EO in several months and now I feel like going back to it. Though I got CS:DE again on my new windows 7 laptop. Some reason my visual basic program everytime I make an exe file makes an error saiyan, "Run-time error '449;: ActiveX component can't create object." This error is not because don't have the runtime files installed properly. I have done it completely correct and now I am stumped on what to do. Inside VB6 I do get a debug error saiyan. "Set dX = New DirectX8"Here is an image of the error.>! ![](http://www.freemmorpgmaker.com/files/imagehost/pics/f29ff11469dd5b09286f97be4d7df336.bmp) So if you could please tell me how to fi this or if I need to get a diffrent directx drive or anything please tell me. Thank you.
Ruins of Hell
Anyway, have you installed the _Crystalshire_ Runtime Files? It uses DirectX 8 so you have to install different files instead of Eclipse's Runtime Files. There are two ways to download it. I [extracted it for you here](http://www.freemmorpgmaker.com/files/imagehost/pics/c2a6bf0f9cb7131e163ab63f3700a7a0.zip), but you could also download it by [downloading Crystalshire and running 'setup.exe'](http://www.crystalshire.com/downloads.php) (which is how I got it). Did you set it to compatibility mode for XP (SP2 or SP3)?
