I can't use my new sprite?

Hey guys, so I just put a new sprite sheet into the characters folder, but I can't select it for an NPC… What do I have to do for the new sprite to take effect into the game?

Make sure it is a .bmp file and is consecutively numbered (1.bmp, 2.bmp, 3.bmp, 4.bmp …).

I used a Sprite Maker link that someone else provided in the Forums and I just saved it and then put it in my Character folder :S

you still have to make it the right type and name it correctly.

be shure to it is  bitmap file,and to be in order like 1.2.3.4.5….

I don't care where you got it. It's not in the right format. Open it with Microsoft Paint (Windows Key + R > mspaint, or open up the Start Menu and search for mspaint). Then save it as a 24-bit bitmap.
