You weren't talking about the subject at hand and were instead complaining about the nature of debate boards. If you think the attitude of debates needs to change, post another topic. Don't start going off about it in the actual debate because then the focus switches from the debate topic to your opinion on a completely unrelated matter.
So yes, an irrelevant opinion is derail. Post a new topic or something  -

Thanks! We're currently switching a lot of stuff around with the new systems and such, so it'll all be changed before release. -
**Some stats:**
We get about 7 players constantly during our non-promoted (no new client update or features) prime hours, about 15 constantly during our promoted prime hours, and 3 during our non-promoted off-hours. Most we've had on at once was 20\. There are more than 5 factions which have already formed (3-10 people in each) and they use Skype to connect with each other. Only 1 has been able to form a village thus far. Maximum server connectors for Windows is 64, 1024 for Linux (unless I add multiple selectors and redo the backend which is now seeming inevitable).
There are currently only ~40 testers admitted to these tests, 20 of which are active daily. 60 more people have requested to be in the next session, and they are currently wait listed as we slowly allow more players to join alpha. We project 200 testers by the end of alpha, at which point it will be cutoff with no new testers accepted.
The server seems capable of only handling a few dozen players at the moment, but once I redo the backend I will be able to extend sustainability to 1000 players without much lag (hopefully). We only have 1 server working at the moment, but we plan to launch with servers in the UK, Western US, Eastern US, and Australia. -

I'm going to stop "debating" with you. You present no facts and never look at all sides. Debating with you is like debating with a brick wall. There's a reason everyone on Eclipse is constantly disagreeing with you– it's because you lack the ability to think. 70 years ago in Germany it was considered "right" to throw Jews in gas chambers. If you were raised purely under the Nazi regime without any sense of what the outside world was like and without any preconceived notions of "right" or "wrong", you'd think it was "right" too. Your morals and values are completely dependent upon what the people around you think. As humans have progressed and the population grown, more and more people are beginning to realize that others, regardless of race or religion, have emotions and feelings just as equal as yours. Again, 50 years ago that was not the case and many parts of the world are still like that today. Go to Somalia or Saudi Arabia and see what I mean.
Humans are so dependent upon environment and instinct that it's ridiculous (Budweiser already proved that in his links he posted). Social evolution (the modern scientific version, not the bastardized Nazi version) and the evolution of society towards the greater good (due to increased desire or instincts towards humans being "pack" animals) is just as valid as biologic evolution, if not the same. We've recently just evolved depression, making us into more emotional creatures. I surely see our species progressing in this path because it seems to be working better than what humans were like 4000 years ago

By the way, stop pretending that you're so unique. More people are Christians in the US than atheist, so stop pretending like you're a victim. You have no idea what it's like to be the victim. I can't even run for governor of my state because of my lack of belief, nor can I tell my parents that I'm an atheist because they would legitimately give me death threats. When people in school find out I'm an atheist, they look down on me like I'm some sort of freak. Don't ever say that you have it so hard believing in something that gives you comfort. The truth hurt, bud, and I've decided to deal with it rather than be dilluded and follow the rest of society like you 
And just because some crippled 80 year old white guy in a palace in Rome says that he wants to unite the world doesn't mean that he will. If you think everyone is just falling over themselves to be catholic, then you're severely wrong. Catholicism and Christianity in general has been decreasing in memberships for a while now. If anything, Islam would take over the world, not Catholicism.
