  1.   I don't think it's fair to blame ABS. In most circumstances slamming on the brake in a car without ABS will result in the wheels locking and then forcing the car into a slide. Which then would negate any control over the vehicle, and in the end increase the distance to come to a complete stop since you have no longer have traction. A rolling wheels slows faster than a locked wheel, especially on things like gravel, water, ice, ect. ABS can't be blamed for following to close or going to fast, all cars are different and as the operator it is our job to learn the limits of each car.

That being said, obviously it sucks to get in an accident even when you're at fault. Even when it ends with you having to compensate for another driver's in front of you mistake. Hope your insurance rate doesn't get jacked up and I hope you enjoy your new car.

    > I don't like the black and white colors for the layout :P

Yup, I agree. The white and black the way it is looks unappealing. Would look better to have a boarders around your content. Seems kind of weird having round corners on your content, then a square white background, and then straight horizontal lines behind that.

It's not unrealistic. Many people here do make signatures for free.
  4. WARNING - lyrics contain profanity - WARNING

Awesome band, a friend had me give them a listen yesterday. Think they need some more attention.

  5.   Looks good. I'm not sure, however this look odd, if the grass has a base line on the bottom of some of the blades. Maybe look better without? Not too sure.

I like the sand, but the coast edge seems a bit to repetitive and jagged. Unless that is the water coming up on the sand as opposed to the shape of the sand. Looks good, just seems weird to me.

It is a very nice style, looking forward to seeing more.
  6. Looks good, I like it.

In the dirt I notice a repeating horizontal line, as well as a small circle void texture which is noticeable most on a slight upward diagonal.

    > I've never seen a blue ghost before… try dithering.

That's to say you've seen a ghost?..Who cares if it is blue.

It looks alright, some dithering would help as said above.
  8.   Correct. A gun works by sending a projectile down a barrel using pressure. Essentially a cannon. How'd cannons work? well they packed an explosive in the bottom of a barrel, wadding and then a projectile. Lit the explosive, causing an EXPLOSION! Which created pressure and forced the projectile out the end of the barrel.

In modern weapons a cartridge(case less ammunition is another story) is a self contained explosive, of primer and powder, a bullet and a casing to hold it all together. Yes there is an explosion inside your gun, every time you shoot a bullet. This is how a gun is able to backfire when a system fails, exploding the barrel, or action of a weapon.

Higher powered ammunition, especially in military, and law enforcement applications use a different kind of ammunition then generally available to the public. The cartridge may be the same size, but the changes are made inside the casing to increase powder and make a bigger explosion creating more pressure and a higher velocity bullet (which too can be increased to a heavier grain, increasing power).

In general big explosion + heavy bullet = most power or, in this case, more damage. Of course many factors such as barrel length, rifling, and gravity vary this outcome. Higher velocities also increase accuracy and distance. You can in fact create a stronger cartridge by adding more explosion inside of your gun.

A tracer round is exactly what its name implies. When fired the bullet can be traced by the human eye. That's all there is to it really, nothing special other than visual. In addition to above, more powerful types of ammunition will use different types of tips such as a hollow point (which causes more interal damage), or a Full metal jacket (FMJ, commonly copper) to create a stronger projectile versus a soft tip lead bullet. There is also incendiary round which burn hot, ignite and explode on impact. Armor piercing rounds use stronger metals such as steel, tungsten or depleted uranium(in bigger applications).

Anyway, don't really know where this was going… Hope the team is making good progress. This is one of the more unique games!
  9. Looking alright.

Few things I noticed in your last picture:

The grass transition from top grass tile to the lower grass on top of rock is very noticeable.

The small rock cliff, on right of image, has very defined edges between the tiles. Try making the rock/pebble shapes more consistent throughout the tile. It appears you have many small rocks bordering the edge of your tile. Which becomes very prominent line.

Try adding some detail to the bottom of the floating islands, maybe some dangling roots and making the base more dynamic, as opposed to flat (more so in the horizontal segment than the diagonal).

Quick Google image search to explain my last point about the base:

  10.   On the rocky tileset you need to fix up the tiles so it aligns properly and looks smooth when repeating. And, I think it looks better as the "Effect" option, however, two things take away from the tileset. The brownish panorama behind doesn't go with the grey rocky theme, and this is only speculation, but since you have jusy rock and stone in that tileset at this point, it looks more naked than anything and I'm sure will look better once you have more detail to add.
  11. @grizzy:

    > …You got any tips or pointers?...

Yea, I'd say just be relaxed, stand tall. A good way to practice was to go down facing up the mountain. Doing that makes it easier to control speed and get used to board control…Oh, and the chair lift is a lot easier to get off of then people make it sound.
  12.   Eh, I played Reach for a couple months, but It kinda died for me. The community is a bit different than back in halo2/3\. Not the same teamwork/fun/intensity. Since Black Ops sucks, and nerfed MW2 community I stopped playing that. Only online game I play on a console I suppose is BF Bad Company 2 for xbox. Even though the community has been chiseled away at by newer games and it's rare to ever get near 60% players in a game.
