The only thing cool about it in my eyes is that you have more aparrel-options. But what really bothered me is that zombies STILL are ducking stupid and destroy the immersion. I will buy the standalone once it becomes worth my money.

I think having to register in order to get to know about a game I possibly want to play is stupid. You are just hiding information from possible fans who may not want to throw their data into another registration form.
About the turnbased combat I think that sidescrollers always benefited from a more action-style gameplay but I'm interested in how that will turn out.

So, this was my second playthrough and I made some notes as I played.
The introduction till ruffus kills your mum is just great (Even more possible dialogue in the first town would be a good addition)
I think leveling up should fill up your hp and mp. You could leave out some shrines for that.
Got to level 4 and 3 after finding dog at the entrance.
The battle screen in the first forest doesn't look as interesting as it should, i think. Maybe some more plants in it would look good.
Why is the gun a 2handed weapon? Would like a shield with that gun.
- auto saving would be a plus
- More secrets & more weapons for first forest
- the 2nd forest is more fun to explore, monsters could be a tiny bit harder i.m.o.
- generally needs more stuff lying around and more little dialogues about them
level 6 and 5 as i leave the 2nd forest. took 46 minutes
- the ogre sequence brought something fresh to the table, nice! I especially enjoyed
the multi-dialogue-options for escaping from the cage!
- in the main city there is a house where a cat has the same sprite as black cat.
I think the main characters should look unique.
level 8, 7 and 5 as i enter the sewers after 1:30 playtime.
Do you know tales of symphonia? in that game, every now and then a little pop-up in
the corner tells you that you can listen to a conversation and if you press it,
dialogue of the characters would appear. Something like that would suit this game
really well i think.
Overall, I liked it really much again :)
Can't wait to enter the sewers!

Everybody should just start posting random projects from other people on here! Not.

I think people who REALLY want to make something professional and earn money with it won't use eclipse.
Don't put your hopes up too high and stay realistic with your ambitions.
Definately a good tip too!
-seal -
The way I started was by playing around with eclipse alot and getting to know it by myself… May not work for you but I think that the program is pretty much self-explanatory.
You can also read some tutorials on here and talk to people on the chat.
Have fun!
-seal -
Yeah, that would totally feel like diablo in a tile-based environment. Not.
Also there is no 360° movement in any eclipse engine I know.

And so did atleast 10-20 other people I know. Don't waste too much money on it, you may regret that later ;)

I had my hookah-time, mixing my own tobacco (because in germany the tobacco can't pass a certain level of fluid inside it, meaning that it is too dry) with elements base-tobacco + glycerin&flavour but that time is definately over. If you like smoking hookah and never tried making your own tobacco I can definately recommend it. It is cheaper and tastes better (depending on the stuff you put into it).
I prefer a joint every now and then…

That comic shouts "drug-abuse!" at me :D
I had to laugh though…

@Sherwin Do you mean that GUI or Ingame-Graphics-Wise ? I was expecting originality and not another maple-story ripoff which noone needs.
@topic: Good progress, looking good so far! :)
-seal -
Yeah, the potential is definately there. A demo could indeed help with the campaign.
-seal -
Is the red or the blue part the generated area? Anyhow, it does indeed look quite boring. Too much of large open fields as it seems.
-seal -
You should have a warning in the beginning which is also in a very comic-like style and looks like you can't take it serious :D
-seal -
Idk how kickstarter campaigns normally develop pledge-wise, but it seems like you won't achieve your goal at all… Maybe a more realistic one between 5-10k would've been better.

Cool project, I loved the old harvest moon games. The only thing I am wondering about is: Wouldn't it be easier to use a "real" programming language to create this game? I just imagine bigger projects in gamemaker being a mess, correct me if I'm wrong.
-seal -
Hehe, nice trailer (Even though I would've kept it shorter)!
Going to test and give you feedback on this later. :)
-seal -
But you know that you can edit your posts, right?
Anyways, the side-tree looks cool, although it would get repetative to see it more than 3x per map. I hope you get atleast 4 tree-types because i like variation :)
Good progress mate,
-seal -
As far as I know off-topic doesn't increase post-count. Oh and * the rules, you should move this to forum games still.
-"Dr"seal -
Shouldn't you remove the red text from the eye-candy-spoiler?
The new tiles look good in my opinion.
Good luck,
-seal -
That GUI looks much better. If you need some mapping help or maybe some programming (depends on what engine you are using), you can send me the client and pm me Spiral.
-seal -
- Well, then you should have waited for a moment where you have enough time?
- "It has lack of trees because it is a forest." I don't know if you understood me right but I was pointing out that the tileset you use has just 1 tree (as far as i know/see) and that makes the forest look too repetative and boring.
- same as number one
- I would say a more interesting background and making the logo bigger would help. Also the buttons etc. looks somehow cheap. Try some other borders and play around with some other colours / textures maybe.
- Yeah, games are alot of work! :D
