The base was built around the breeze revamp with more long bodies and less stubby limbs for weapons.

Wooh! I'm probably really late, but I've been away forever & kinda too excited to test this out to even read the last few pages. Will be testing the engine out Miguu, later!

First of all, you might want to tell people some details that you would like in the GUI, or even a game that proves the work would not go to waste.
If not, you can make GUI in a free programs such as 'gimp' or paint.net if you don't have Photoshop. Thanks to dx8 you just simply change the opacity in the image editor, save as .png, and it will retain the transparency. -

That video has me all excited now! haha
All of that shooting gave me an idea for a puzzle mode (in the future). It would be cool to have rebounding surfaces and you had to shoot at an angle at one of those surfaces to kill an enemy thats shots are blocking a pathway. Hard to explain, but it would be a cool single player addition on the side :) -
Not really bugs. Just a lot of things didn't have a front end, you had to figure out how to make it easier on yourself(a couple tutorials cover most of it). Other than that, same bugs as EO.

Looking good so far. I really like the chibi characters you're going with :D
I'd say you could give a little more info as to what else stands out about your game, and adapting the GUI to the chibi style of the anime characters!

I say have limited ammo, but have pickups in game to refill in small amounts. Adds more strategy than button mashing all day you know?
Option 2: If you had other guns to toggle through, you would have 1 unlimited gun that did minimum damage in the case that special guns ran out. You would purchase new special ammo from the shop between matches. (I prefer this idea)

I don't think the melee match sounds very fun. Melee could be enabled in the normal games so that incase you run out of ammo on an ammo system, you can do a sort of all or nothing run and hit kind of move. Ads to the level of player helplessness, and it feels more realistic. ;)
Footsteps? I could see that working if the camera followed the player on a close scope. But if you can see a full map, nah wouldn't fit. -
I really like the idea of having perks. I can't wait to try the basic vb6 version actually, keep it up!
