  4. I'm really impressed by the GUI work! I am a huge Kingdom Hearts fan so this definitely sparks my interest haha

    Though I'm not a fan of using rpg maker sprites in a kingdom hearts project, I understand it's in it's early stages. But I'd like to see more use of Chain Of Memory style sprites, maybe creating a base from Sora's animation sheet? Also, kingdom hearts is known for it's fast hack and slash gameplay, so adding attack animations somewhere down the line is probably a must. ![^_^](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/community/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/happy.png)

    But overall, this is a great work in progress, and I'll be keeping my eye on it!

  5. I've been waiting on this! I love to see Eclipse go through it's changes over the years, it's such a big difference from what we saw nearly 4 years ago.

  6. haha yea, after a google search, it's the name of a series of poems and an oprah in the 1930's.

    As for writing, I think I'd be willing to help out. I'm a writer, and if I like your ideas, I think I'd try my hand at writing for this project a bit. ;)
  7. Thanks everyone for your input. Yes, dubbing the two styles as "Retro" and "Chibi" isn't exactly accurate, because they are both just their own styles in the end.

  8. The graphics are definitely amazing to start off. I like the name choice for the project too, named after the poems/oprah?

    Do you have any story ideas in mind yet? Because the name definitely inspires a musically based game to me. Very interested  ;)

Once experienced, a warrior may choose to continue growing physically stronger as a Berserker, or adapt to the magic aided life of a Paladin.

    & I know what you mean about the classes if you meant the descriptions. I updated them, and will probably update them even more. As for the story, eh I didn't look up a game and copy the story or anything, it's what flowed through my fingertips while I was imagining the game. Everyone's story will have some kind of relation to something else you've heard before these days. It's the execution that makes the game better than the rest  ;)

  14. Found a bug:
    If you hold down the attack button, all of the animations start acting up. When you walk/run/jump you're stuck in the falling animation. And when you press attack, you're stuck in that animation while you walk/run (but is reset to falling if you jump).

    Not sure if it's been reported before, but thanks for reading.

    Ok, for some reason after I cleared the maps, this stopped happening.**

  15. Well no, the neck was left out on purpose. I wanted a floating head effect, and it would bob when animated.

    Maybe I should have made more of a mock-up to show the style I was going for, because an "outside of the norm" sprite alone will of course come off weird to everyone..

    The outline was what I originally did, but I edited it without one for a different style, but we'll see what happens!

    The thing in the corner is actually a spirit partner kind of idea. Like a fairy that would follow you around, just random ideas while I try to think outside of the box haha

    The grass would have a lot more variations, like flowers, and trees of course. It's inspired by a game called Dino Run haha
