Ahh well in that case, good luck :) That's an awesome idea.

    > Minish Cap tiles are soooo nifty :)

    Yes they are!@Kreator:

    > Considering I haven't posted much at all, what your saying is pretty empty. And the post was deleted by Marsh I think, and then I was muted.

    > Regardless, stop havin' a winge about how 'cynical' I am. Go work on your game instead.

    Alright, I apologize.
  3. @Kreator:

    > Calm down, I was just lightly criticizing and commenting on what you said, regarding the screenshots you had given. No need to label me as cynic.

Everything I've seen you post in this thread is cynical and most of it isn't even constructive, in fact, one of your posts was deleted… by either you or a mod.

    > Do u have changed the Tilesets lol!

I'm trying to make sense of what you are saying…  but I got nothing, try to speak proper english and perhaps I'll be able to adress your statement.
  5. We're working very hard!  The next update I'll give to you guys will be when it's ready for beta, as I don't want to spoil anything.  At the moment, we're going for more of a "True to the game" Approach, the game we decide to base our hyrule off of will be left a mystery until time unravels it.  Hopefully our project will inspire Nintendo, if not, people will have a sweet game to play.
  6. The overlapping cliffs look much better ingame, seeing how it's scrolling >.>

Also, I have most of the npc/enemy sprites done.  I'm making sure that they look good as far as movement and their attacks.  For example, armos knights jump around to move, to attack- they make a big jump and slam on the ground… so like I said, I'm trying to be quite detailed in my gfx choices.
  7. @Munro:

    > seriously? its dead?

    Seriously, it's dead.

I gained about 75 bucks or so, cashed in the money.  About 7 months later, no money… Don't bother with this one, there are real ones out there, I've used one that worked myself.  Unfortunately I forgot what it's called and it was quite hard to track down.
  8. Heroes of Hyrule - **A hope revealed**

_Come hang out with us and help support the cause!_

    **Who?**
Our team is of a small number.
Myself, PloKoon, Everything but programming and GUI
    Vaughan, Programmer
    Sam, GUI

    –-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    **What?**
Heroes of Hyrule is a zelda mmo unlike any before it; attention to graphical detail is the most notable aspect(animations, puzzle gfx, etc.).  Heroes of Hyrule (HoH), starts off in a re imagined Zelda Classic Hyrule; setup better for a tile-based mmo than Link to the Past. Hyrule will not be the only region in HoH, new regions will be added as well.  Great new source is being created to ensure that this is an experience the 2d mmorpg world has not yet encountered.  I have decided to recreate Hyrule in the tradition of the Zelda games; make it my own.  None of the zelda games keep a complete, settled view of Hyrule, so why should I?  It would be a lot less similar to the actual tradition of the games if I recreated it tile-by-tile.  There is much more to see, but a 640x480 image can only show so much. I hate to be so general, but any exacts may ruin the experience.

    –-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    **Why?**
I want to create the first successful mmorpg based off of Zelda, and no I do not count Hyrule Online as a Zelda game.  Heroes of Hyrule is a project that was started after being tired of using a closed source engine with Legacy of Jones.  The gameplay of my former experimental game, Legacy of Jones, mimicked the gameplay of the Zelda franchise, so I decided to cut to the chase.

    –-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    **When?**
Heroes of Hyrule still has much work to go. Although, we have made an immense amount of progress thus far. Such as the Tiles/Sprites, Maps, and the Content/design always growing.  I do not have an estimated time of release.

    In-Game Preview

I'll try to give a brief amount of commentary with each screenshot that I release.

Note: Tileset choice pending, though I very much like this one, from Minish Cap.
