  1. You don't need to bump your post after mere 3 hours, or at all, also you already had a thread with the same problem.

To answer your question, make sure to install the runtime files, and make sure you install them as administrator.
  2. The reason we originally switched was because the previous forum was practically breaking apart beyond repair.

On a note of the original topic of this thread, there's currently a forum designated to suggest and give feedback to help improve Eclipse, that will guaranteed to be seen by the staff.

While we want to help as many people as possible with their problems, usually a lot of problems people have can not directly be addressed in the chat box, even if we would like to help as quickly as possible, troubleshooting can fill up the chat box, while it is not always a problem, it usually becomes easier to organize and troubleshoot in a thread, as well for archiving purposes and references.

There are cases where it is for the most part better to ask in the chat box, of course, but usually then, a quick search helps them more, and quicker. The option to disable the chat box on every page would be helpful in my option.
  4. I recall reading about this project from this guy, and if I remember correctly he worked on the original AQ, or something along those lines.

Please refrain from further arguing about this until @[member="Elitis"] can have a chance to properly clear it up.
  5. I just come online and say hi to the chat now, and then I look if there's any threads to be approved, there's not a lot more to do at the moment, got to figure something out for myself.
  6. Something corrupted the download, consider downloading through another mirror, alternatively another browser, or clear your cache, there's a lot of reasons why it occurred, it's very hard to pinpoint the problem since there's very little information.
  7. I believe(do not quote me on this) we are doing a barebone engine, from what I have caught by lurking around the chats with the developers and admins, we are still aiming for a barebone engine with plugins of some sort, which is in my opinion one of the better solutions to most problems with the endless discussion of the engine.
  8. The thing is, if you were to write it on a piece of paper, you have to count for the implied brackets that they want to count 20/2, or 20/(2*(5+5)), it depends how you write it, because in digital form, he does not say that the (5+5) is a part of the **denominator** or not, which makes a huge difference, because it does not say it is, it will be assumed it is not, making the actual question (20/2)(5+5), because the brackets in 20/2 is implied, making the final answer **100**.

It's a stupid trick question to begin with, because the rules of implied brackets aren't really taught, but widely used in these stupid scenarios.

Edit: Also, it's a honest mistake, so I wouldn't really consider someone unable to solve this an idiot.
  9. The IP you stated is your external IP, which is the one people connect to from outside of your local network, however they might not have an open port to connect through. Localhost will work for you since you do not need to open a port. Try opening the port that you are using(7001, by default), and then your friend should be able to join through your external IP.
