Yea, it really depends on how it's made. But, I think the best ideas are games created in world's that never existed. Neither past (medieval), present or future. Like the Final Fantasy series. :P

Lookin much better! XD Also, if you want those yellow lines to blend even better, get rid of the black lines around them. These "outlines" are ok with the buildings because it creates the idea of dimension. But on the yellow road lines they just make them stand out too much.

The tree looks pretty good, cept it does need longer roots, and some grass coming up over the roots. Other than that 8/10!

Not to be too critical. But you should make the yellow lines on the road darker to fit the graphics better, and fix up that tree man. There's blue crap all over it and the shadow looks sick. :azn:

You know, I suck at making sprites too. But, I decided that my next project "Hero Saga Online" was gonna have all custom tiles and sprites. And so, eventhough I suck I started makin them anyway.. And guess what? Theyre not turnin out so bad. Maybe you could read some tutorials on how to sprite, get some practice, and you never know you might be able to make at least decent looking sprites in no time. They dont have to look super awesome… besides most the games made with Eclipse are for fun... youre never going to make money of em, so dont take the graphics too seriously. But at least be willing to give it a shot. Rome wasn't built in a day.

Your best bet is to edit the sprites, or make your own. Cuz, well, military sprites in the "correct format" and already set up for paperdolling… would be hard to come by. Just sayin.

I'd go with the first one. But make the text in the buttons more readable by putting a background behind the text that makes them stand out. Right now you can hardly read the text with all those colors goin on.
