  1. > I honeslty don't care what you think it looks like, obviously if it looks similar it means I did a good job anti-aliasing it. No gradient tool you use for a circular gradient has a + pattern.

And I honestly don't care if you think it's pixel art. It's not.
  2. **"Retro** is a term used to describe aspects of modern culture which are consciously derivative or imitative of those trends, modes, fashions, or attitudes of the recent past which have or had come to be seen as unfashionable. It generally implies a vintage of at least fifteen or twenty years. For example, clothing from the 1980s or 1990s could be retro"

By this standard, almost all games made with pixels could be called "retro". My point is, it's probably more important that the gui and graphics match, not that they're "retro".
  3. > That's not how pixel art works. It's all about trial and error.I've remade my tileset for over 4 years and I can say that even tho I'm still not happy with it I've gotten better. If you don't try to fix it even if its not broken you'll never improve. He just tried to remake his stuff and get better and it didn't go well.It doesn't mean you should go back to the old stuff it just means that you should try and remake then again to improve.

I'm not implying he should necessarily use the older tiles, eventhough they look better. But, if Mr.Miguu is capable of doing graphics like this he just needs to reevaluate (like you said) and maybe return to this style at least.

I'm aware of how pixel art and art in general works, since I've been doing freelance art for almost 10 years now. I've done several revisions of my own work, however, I've never revamped and had my graphics look 10x worse.
  4. > I did to the gradients pixel by pixel. I created a sketch of the gradients with the tool to get the pallet colors I needed then pixled it.

Still not "pixel" art. I downloaded the image and scaled it to make sure. They're too anti-aliased for me to believe you used a 1x1 pencil. Looks like you used the gradient tool and a brush to make the highlight.
  5. Out of curiosity I looked through the some million pages for this project and found this:

What happened to these tiles? They're beautiful. Did you make them yourself?

I'm looking at the ones you have now and I'm boggled, even if they are decent. These are 100x better. And, not to sound too harsh but this explains why some are "coming down" on you about the current state of this seemingly unending project; that, somehow, went from great to alright as far as graphical appeal.

As they say, if it's not broken don't fix it.
  6. > I really like the "solid"-ness to these graphics. Their boldness reminds of me of a blend of both Pokemon (mostly the palettes) and someone's off-hand paint project. They add-well to the subtle pre-school ambiance of the game. A bit uncanny.

Your choice of words are uncanny in that they are inexplicably mysterious.. @_@

On-topic: Keep it up Kreator. This game makes me laugh, and I want to play it again!
