  1. Also adding to that Exception said, why would a startup company want to use vb6 in any way shape or form? Thats like Starting a company to release new games for the n64, except a company releasing games for 64 might actually have a chance. Why not use a modern language with a modern game engine.
  2. @'Growlith1223':

    > you know, assuming makes an ass out of u and me. never once did i defend her, i know it's a dick move, try and understand that please.

    > anywho, if you're that worried about an encrypted password to the point of paranoia of "that could be anything!" then im sorry but you are beyond help.

    > ima say this again but did i say everything was sunshine and rainbows? no, i simply said that i got her to get rid of it, nothing more, nothing less.

    Its not paranoia if our data has already been stolen.
  3. Might i suggest a place where we can write tutorials for non eclipse related engines (eg. unity) Some of us on here use different engines and it might be cool to see new tutorials (even if they arent for eclipse).
  4. I ended up having to uninstall internet explorer to get it running on windows 10 for some reason. Some update broke vb6.
  5. sometimes in vb6 the tabs break, to fix it up in the top left click "project" then click component, there should be a list of check boxes popping up, see if any saying tabs are checked, if not check them and save.
    Normally when this happens it messes up other stuff too.
    I am going by memory here and dont have vb6 installed anymore but basically find an old working copy of eclipse, and compare its component check boxes to your current ones and make the required changes. I only remember this off the top of my head because i once spent a few hours with the same problem. Cheers!
  6. Why does everyone work on engines that have no support whatsoever using a language that isn't supported in an ide that is impossible to get legally anymore? Skyward dude you did so much for this community and it sucks that you are gone, this was the closest to an official version of eclipse we have even had since 2.0
  7. So i have been back to work on this project,
    I got the emulators up and running and then disassembled it.

    After a few more hours of painting and sanding i solderd the buttons to the gpio pins and routed the wires.  I then added the batteries (in parallel)

    I got the screen working right by editing the config text file.
    First i plugged in a  usb keyboard.
    turning the pie on when it boots up press f4
    then i typed in
    ```
    sudo nano /boot/config.txt
    ```in this editor i changed to these values
    ```
     # uncomment if hdmi display is not detected and composite is being output
    hdmi_force_hotplug=1
    # uncomment to force a specific HDMI mode (here we are forcing 800×480!)
    hdmi_group=2
    hdmi_mode=1
    hdmi_mode=87
    hdmi_cvt 800 480 60 6 0 0 0
    start_file=start_x.elf
    fixup_file=fixup_x.elf
    gpu_mem=128
    ```[![](http://s32.postimg.org/m38bj58sh/20160426_184118.jpg)](http://postimg.org/image/m38bj58sh/)
    The project is still not quite complete, The 3.7v to 5v regulator isnt quite powerful enough to run both the pi and the lcd so I had to order a slightly bigger one. In the next installment  I will be finishing up. By making the pi treat the gpio switches as key presses and then use retro pie to translate that to button presses on the emulators.
