  1. It's looking good. The shading is awesome. When you say that in Brazil, houses are twice as tall as a person per floor, they're generally not like that in England. America and elsewhere I'm not sure about.

If you want it that high, that's fine, but keep in mind how much it might dominate the map. Keep up to the Feng Shui ;)
  2. [Here](http://yami.blog.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/2667492/files/sprites/monster_bright.png), [here](http://www.rpgmakervx.net/lofiversion/index.php/t17345.html) and [here.](http://www.rpgmakervx.net/lofiversion/index.php/t9547.html)

All these are just from Google Images. Google is your best friend when it comes to finding resources.
They're just general monsters, because I don't really have a clue what kind you want. If you want a specific type, then just post and I'll see what I can do :)
  3. @SeeingBlue:

    > If I'm not mistaken some of the buttons in EO2 or CS:DE change when you mouse over them. Might look at how that is done & should give you some kind of idea.

He doesn't want a mouseover animation, just one that plays constantly, cycling through a few frames.

Also, animated GUI would distract attention from the game. GUI should be minimalistic and draw your focus towards the game.
  4. I'll start by saying that the features sound brilliant. You seem to have good skills in programming, but in other areas you're lacking. The graphics need shading and definition, and the ideas and themes are unoriginal, especially a Ninja-esque tournament that takes place every century. You should put yourself a team together, or you should work on these aspects.

I'm completely unsure how the idea of a tournament would weave into gameplay. One would usually expect levels of game-play resulting in a boss fight, but again, this would ruin the free-roam element of Eclipse and require extensive modifications to the engine. I suggest you use an arena function and have quests into far off lands to recieve better weapons for the aforementioned showdown.

With most game WIPs that one finds interesting, it's generally the 'feel' of the game that persuades the prospective player. There seems to be mixed signals within your thread. I'd work on your story-writing and graphic prowess until they are on a par with your programming level.
  5. Hamachi is just a program you can use that creates networks. It can be used instead of portforwarding, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Essentially, the server host would start up a network on Hamachi and get his players to join that network whilst they play his game.

The drawbacks are that Hamachi can really only deal with a few people, and all your players have to download third-party software and set that up before playing. That's really not an option because a lot of players just want to play, they don't have the knowledge, time, nor the inclination to download and use Hamachi.

If you're having trouble portforwarding, I suggest you use [this](http://www.simpleportforwarding.com/download) software instead of Hamachi. Your game will have much more players.
  8. No-one is going to make that system for you, it's a pretty big edit when you're messing about with the directional functions in VB6\. Plus there's the way it looks in 2D engines… If you think you're at a sufficient programming level, you could rip it from SamuGames' custom engine. It **will** take some doing though. [Here's](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/smf/index.php/topic,67928.0.html) a link. Don't use the engine itself straight away, it's got a tonne of bugs.
  9. [Here's](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/smf/index.php/topic,71847.0.html) Eclipse Starlight. It's Richy's Modifications 2.6 (S) Nova, with a few bug fixes and a tonne of resources. I wouldn't recommend using the resources, they're widely used and merely intended to introduce new players to Eclipse.

The engine has pets and quests, though I remember Robin saying that Modifications 2.6 (S) Nova was unstable. I'm not sure how, though and he's re-programming it ATM, which will be a pretty good engine.
  10. You could use a port tunneler instead of Hamachi. I've personally never liked Hamachi, due to all your players having to download someone else's software, plus it wouldn't leave me alone when I stopped using it.

[Here's a link to a port tunneler.](http://www.magicnotes.com/steelbytes/PortTunnel_ENG.zip) It seems like a more efficient way of getting round the portforwarding issue.
  11. There's no tutorials for guilds at the moment, but SamuGames added them to his SamuMods engine. Perhaps you could take the code from that?

[Here's a link to his additions.](http://www.samugames.com/SamuMods.zip) Just a warning, though - There's a lot of bugs within it. I wouldn't reccomend just using the engine straight away.
