  1. How would make it so that the npc's names always show even if there isn't a mouse pointer over them and/or where folks cant walk through npcs? btw, thanks again for putting out a great engine - this works wonderfully.

I did find the bug of when after opening the quest window and then opening the admin window it cuts the admin window down to size, going to pets or jukebox afterwards doesnt resolve it but going back to one of the original eclipse windows does (such as character). i kept the admin window open then opened quest to see what would happen and it sorta "ate" through the admin window and appeared as though it was in front of it (click where the buttons should have been didnt work - only going back to one of the original windows did) - just thought i'd post. :P - Epic engine.

    EO 3.0?

    What sort of converter would I need and where would i be able to get my hands on such a tool? I tried before to put zones from my 2.3 server into a 3.0 server and i got an error, am i supposed to copy the server files first and then just delete the zones (as i tried), i will post error i got in second. _update: its a "Run-time error '9'; Subscript out of range_ when i try to start serveron the nightly install i have - i have shut down any other servers eclipse servers i have running so that should be fine.

    Are maps made in eclipse 2.3 usable in 3.0 nightly?
  5. My apologies if this has already been asked :P, but is there a limitation on the number of tileset files or item graphics I have? I notice i can't get anything over the default number to work in either. Thanks for reading!

I keep getting a "not enough" error when i -do- have enough, havent tried item exchange yet - the items i have atm are default and the shop doesn't want them. Spawning an item just makes it appear on the floor, not sure how to pick it up.
  7. ![](http://i1127.photobucket.com/albums/l632/EsoGuildPB/erroreclipse.png) If i put a 'show choices' for a npc it crashes if i put a show choices and/or show text after the response from the first 'show choices', so for example if npc was like "which way did he go?" the choices could be like "up", "down", "left", "right" and I were to try to set it up so that when player selects "right" it gives another set of options to pick from (or even just plain "show text" or in some cases trying to have it open a store) as an example it would crash and show the error above, etc, I am on windows 7 64 bit and running a version of eclipse origins i downloaded from the site a few days ago.) - Am I doing something wrong? I read the post about this and its quoted below, I did what it said about the maps and no dice, Any ideas or suggestions always welcome! Thanks for reading, guys. =] _Run-Time Error: 7 - Out of Memory Event: after turning scrolling on/off. Version: any. Cause: you're using the old map files. Fixes: shutdown your server. (back your maps up) and remove them, then_ restart the server.

I looked at the tutorial above and it says "Go to frmMainGame and search picScreen_MouseDown.. and put this code:" but I don't have a frmmaingame, I downloaded Eclipse Origins File version 1.3.0.0 and product version 1.0.3\. Downloaded it a few days ago from this site so its pretty recent. The tutorial seems alittle old and I believe its one of the ones i saw earlier when googling.
  9. ![](http://i1127.photobucket.com/albums/l632/EsoGuildPB/windowsmall.jpg) Was searching around forums/google and am stumped on how I can get some (or any) level of transparency into this screen (pictured above) on top of changing the size of the window as a whole? I would like the black box that says "main menu" to be transparent so one can see the background to a degree, On a similar but different note : I'm also confused on to how to change the game screen size - I heard some talk about making the game fullscreen but I would be happy just knowing how to change the screen size itself so I can figure out what looks best.   11. hey guys, got some questions : how do give players options for what npcs say (like if you ctrl an npc and they say "good day today" and then you can click [for example] "yes it is", "its okay" or "it sucks" and get more dialogue based off your selection )and/or create a moving npc merchant both features of which are seen in the tutorial (like an npc that starts off with the first feature in question (mentioned above) that when you click "what are you selling" or whatnot it goes to the shop instead of being a stationary npc where there is a "S" in front of him?   12. Is it possible to have non-hostile npcs (ones you areant fighting) stand in place while facing you until you are done interacting/talking with them? It drives me nuts they walk around while I talk to them yet I can walk around myself - This isn't a fault of the engine per se as much as it is a preference or aesthetic thing, but I was wondering - how would one accomplish this? :embarrassed: thanks for reading. :cheesy:
