you could try making squares of 4 pixels width and height and cover the surface, then color each of them. to set a pixel grid of a specific size search on google.
And no, I'm not common with Eclipse, but if you use open source version I believe there's specified the font in there somewhere and it uses windows installed fonts, or you could try putting the file in one of the game folders and pointing to it. -
Other than the menu witch looks very weird, looks pretty clean.

just use 4 pixels for each "8-bit pixel". (32/4=8 bit) That way you can make it look 8-bit.

that doesn't look like a tileset. It looks like it was all drawn at once, similar to parallax mapping. you can see it clearly by the rocks who look different everywhere (except the pavement).
