Before time even began, There were seven Elders. The origin of these human-like creatures was unknown, but they were the powerful beings who created the realm we know as Narcissia. They shaped the world around us and created the humans that populate it.The Elders had a strict code of conduct, and they ruled the quiet world from another realm, Woodwyn. After appointing a king, one chosen by each Elder, they stayed in Woodwyn and entered a state of deep sleep.They alerted their kings to wake them in case of an emergency. >! One Elder, Issimi, stayed in Narcissia. He met a human woman in Fallmere Forest. They agreed, against Elder code of conduct, to elope. They married days later in Gyrmwood. The Elder was found later that day and brought to justice for marrying a human. He was turned to stone and locked in the hall of monuments. >! 9 months later, the the human he married gave birth to three sons blessed with the powers of the Elders, Faldeon, Blaedus and Vlad'uk. Little did they know that one day, these three names would shape the future for humanity itself. >! The three were born with immense powers and sought to use these for different reasons. These three brothers decided to use their powers to create a massive city, then named Elyssia. Elyssia was a successful city and remained the capital of learning and love for hundreds of years. But one brother, Vlad'uk, was not happy with the part of the city he ruled. >! He went to the Vortex, the source of mana, and went through into the doorway that appeared as he touched it. When he got through to the other side, he found a hall carved of white marble. He noticed several marble statues. He walked through until he noticed one that looked like himself. Realising what it was, he smashed it with his flail and as he did, a bright purple light formed, and dripped to the floor. As the brother drank from it, he was blessed with powers over life and death. >! As the brother entered the next world, he formulated a plan. He went into Elyssia and brutally murdered every human in sight. When his brothers aproached him, he mercilessly attacked them, and left Faldeon at deaths door. Blaedus, however, knew what to do and summoned the Orb of Eternity to enclose him in forever. >! With the evil God, Vlad'uk, locked deep in the heart of the eternity orb, Faldeon and Blaedus were content to leave it and go back to ruling the city. But there was backlash from Vlad'uks followers and the God Wars ensued, following for millions of years. >! The Six Sleepers awoke, sent all humans to a new world, called Narcissia, sealed off Elyssia and went back to Farwyn. The three Gods have now only started to seep through the wood between the worlds. It's already like that. But the strange thing is that, when I try and change it to my internal IP, notepad stops editing with 'Access denied' :S *Edit* I'm using the status checker (http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/smf/index.php/topic,43997.msg443672.html#msg443672) And it's always stating me as offline. Should I use my external or internal IP?

It most definately isn't. I've asked it politely not to. I've had a look on the page and it's communicating on both private and public networks.

I have tried to portforward port 7001 on my router. I have a static IP and DNS. I have turned on UnPnP, aswell. I have screenshots, below. Already done that and it doesn't work… -.- Right, I've just re-downloaded and re-installed Eclipse, opened it up, it's already portforwarded, but when I give the client to my friend he opens it up and it says the server is down. Is there a command where it says which IP to connect to for everyone who opens the game? This is doing my head in.

He's got the client but can't connect… What are we doing wrong?

How can I get my friend to be able to play? I have portforwarded, but how do I make it run on other computers?

I know this sounds like a longshot, but use the updated Eclipse ('Tis in the unnofficial releases forum) It's weird, but had this problem and the new Eclipse solved everything for me :D

Problem's now fixed :) But how do I stop my friend recieving missing richtx32.ocx error message?

There's only TCP and UCP, no both option. Orange is the worst broadband ever.

The wiki is for a different livebox and the portforwarder won't work. THIS IS REALLY ANNOYING :@ Now rebooted the darn thing and it still won't work. Can someone who has a Thomson LiveBox Mini DF54 make an idiots guide to portforwarding? It's possibly the most confusing thing the interwebs has ever known :l

Hey people - I'm brand new to this, and would like to create an MMORPG. I bet you're all sick of us newbs posting that we cannot connect to the server, but please hear me out :embarrassed: I've attempted to portforward my router, but I looked on portforward.com and they don't have my version of the dreaded Orange LiveBox… It says on the network and sharing centre of my laptop that it's a LiveBox DF54\. I've searched each other version on portforward.com, but none of them match the screen I get up when I enter my IP address on the interwebs. I know how to get on to the portforwarding centre, though how to actually do it is beyond me. Thanks for any help :)
