there are 2 map folders, one is on the server side, and one is on the client side.
Its to prevent high traffic to/from the server -
if you use .jpg you image quality will go down a shit-ton
I would suggest using 24 bit .bmp Yes its LARGE uncompressed image files but you get 100% of the quality, AND its native to VB6\.
VB6 + .bmp = :star: :cheesy: :star: -

That is an IP for Inside your home network. To get your external IP go to http://ipchicken.com/
that site automatically gives you the external IP that you should be using. External IPs don't start with "192.168"
Also did you set the server options to the same port? -
no i'm talking about the Item type… set the item type to None in the Item editor.

I just have a few MAJOR issues with your game…
1) You set it up like a 1 player story line. You claim that it's going to be MMO style but hardly anything about your game supports that.
2) your story is weak, you might want to write a better more detailed one, one that's NOT geared toward a single player game
3) you game is set in the 19th century, or AKA the 1800's. In my opinion you have limited options for that time period.
- Steam Punk
- Victorian
- Japanese Feudal Era
- Revolutionary America
- Something Doctor Who related
Out of the selection for the time period the only place all those classes might fit into is Japanese Feudal Era.
4) your characters need revising, not everyone int he world can be dating the same person and have the same best friend, its an MMO.
If you have problems with these comments then you may take your project over to the RPG maker community and make a single player game out of it. -
Why must you find old topics that you feel you must post in for no real reason?
1) this tut was replaced by several actual doors/signs tuts since it was made.
2) the counting issue is because you failed to read the 2nd post -
the spells don't affect NPC =P
its a PvP edit. if you want it to affect NPCs you will have to expand it yourself or wait until i get around to making it, but that might take a while since im kinda busy. -

No to add it to your own you will need VB6 and you will have to manually have to follow the instructions. -

XD you wouldn't necessarily get arrested. If that was the case no one would be on eclipse. And don't tell me you haven't downloaded any illegal music =P it's the same thing really.
But really the chances of something happening because you download VB6 is very low… unless you advertise that you are doing it or you download it from an un trustworthy source.
The only thing is that we cant tell you where to get VB6 =P -
adding MP3 Support is coding in the ability to play MP3s
And you can still use VB6 on any windows computer, you just have to find an Illegal, or legal, download for it.
