I'm not ignorant, I just have my own way of doing things, like I said art does not have to be perfect and everyone has a different view on things. No need to go in calling names though, that was just uncalled for. -

Okay, so your saying I can't try and help people learn pixel art because I'm not a pro or something? What technique are you talking about exactly, this tutorial is for people who have never tried pixel art to be serious, I know what I'm doing and I don't need to learn. Art never has to be perfect, ;) -
Have you put me to shame lol Anyway, this is a more basic sword for starting pixel artists. It's a completely different style then yours. Not saying that your tutorial is bad, because it's clearly not. I'm just saying it's a different style and yours is a little more advanced.

Typos happen :P Spelling is not really important in an art tutorial though am I right? (I'm a terrible speller in mornings to be honest, I don't know whats the matter with me xD) -
I know it's not much, but if anyone wants to use these they can. I made them awhile ago and have no use for them.
They are both 32x32 .png images. If you don't like the black outline, don't use them. -
What exactly are you trying to do here? I know you want to get the game online but what have you done? Please give some more information about your problem so I can help with it.

I love the old school look you have going there. Only thing I think you should change is the dirt paths, you should just find a different way to texture them. The dot's are cute and all, but I think they would look better if you would do something a little different with it.

Drawing on the computer and drawing on paper are two completely different things, maybe the methods are similar, like shading is used in both. You still have to remember, it's a mouse and not a pencil. ;) Good luck learning. There are hundreds of pixel art tutorials all over the web that can help you too. I have made a few myself, they are in the tutorial section if you want to take a look. -

I would like to apply as a pixel artist ;)
My name is Kris, I have been an artist for a while now in different styles, retro, side scrolling, anime, ect. So basically I have a wide background. I have not always released all my work, most of it is locked up and never seen XD

Retro graphics rule! Great stuff man, it's funny how something with so little detail can appeal to the eye like that.

This is a basic pixel art tutorial for people who are just starting to learn. I am going to teach you to make a basic sword, just follow the steps and you will be able to figure it out in no time.
You can also modify the sizes and shapes of the blade, you can do so much off of this basic design it's not even funny. The handle could be a bit thinner but like I said, it's a basic design to help you get the feel of what a pixel sword should look like close up. -
Well, there is a picture of a twinky in my post after green. But anyway, the ones that have more leaf's on them. The ones that look like they are dieing are fine. Just, chop up your leaf's and make them look more beat up.

Tree's are a bit odd, but in a good way. Except the fat trees, they need more of a natural shape to them. They look to much like green

Well we have new graphics. Thanks to our new artist Maik. Here is a preview of the desert tile's and the unofficial base sprite! The background will not stay blue. I put that there so it wasn't just a white canvas. We will have background's soon.
Notice! We are still looking for a programmer, and a concept artist, to draw the backgrounds of the maps, and the monsters. -
Hi I was wondering if you could please make a logo for my game Land of Embers? We are a really dedicated game, but we don't have some one to make a logo for us.
What we are looking for is a natural look, maybe some grayish stone for the letters with some green moss on top of it. And a blue sky in the background. We are looking for a smooth look, because we wanted the stones to look like old ruins that spell out Land of Embers.

You could always just copy and paste the first line, then put it at the end. After you expand it a little ways. Then you could keep it 4x4, but it would take more work it you are going to have a lot of sprites.

Get a new mouse, they don't cost much for a good one. Mine cost's around 10$ and its great.

No no no, take Hamachi off and use port forwarding only. Make sure you forward the correct port, (should match the one on the server) and the correct IP (IpChicken)
