    The engine is the Odyssey Engine, which was the reason myself and Consty made the original Mirage game. While there is an option to create your own server and post it within the Java Registry, the main server, Crendale, is ran by me (TheZeus). I was the original mapper of Mirage during the Conty and Shannara reign. Give it a try!
  2. I'm honestly blown away to see how the community has changed since 10+ years ago.  Someday I'll go more in-depth on the Acer purchase of Mirage… the transition from Consty to Shannara, etc... Those days were absolutely insane.  I actually traded e-mails with Shannara a few months back, but I have no clue where Consty is anymore.

Definitely a good choice.  I'm 27… I finally decided that the drama of the 2d community no longer fits in my life.  My career is going great and I need to cut the childish shit out of it.  I changed my signature on the Ody Forum to a photo of Crystalshire.  I'm never posting there again, but the many from the past might bring you a new player or two.  Consider it my way of paying it forward to one of the good guys I've met along the way.

    I'm downloading it now.  Interested in giving it a real try.
  4. Odyssey Classic, the original game that spawned the game Mirage to be created, is offering servers on their main client (13 years running) for $30 per month.  Servers will be included on the main client server list, a forum section on http://www.OdysseyClassic.com and main page updates. 

    Basically, it is a way for you to run a server without any of the hardcoding.  We can make some changes to your server if interested.

When I mapped Mirage, I planned nothing.  I just moved around as I mapped and went with feel.  Sometimes, overplanning can screw up a project and make it too, meh.  Have an idea of the overall concept, then use trial and error to fix it.  The great thing about development is you don't have to show it to anyone until you are happy with the results.
  6. Now that I've had time to look at this, I've noticed a bug causing energy to be reduced regardless of running or walking due to

    ' Reduce energy
        SetPlayerVital index, Energy, GetPlayerVital(index, Energy) - 1
        SendVital index, Energy

I've done this before, but I'm not entirely certain why I can't do it now.  I've searched for Font within 1.5.0; however, after adjusting the playername does not decrease in size.  I've also tried a few other methods that I did previously.  Please make me feel stupid and tell me what simple change is needed to decrease the size of the playername. 

    I assumed it was Public Const FONT_SIZE As Byte = 14 ; however, its not.

    I also assume its something simple within DrawPlayerName that I'm just overlooking.  My head hurts, so I'll blame it on that.
  8. It appears that several of the sendvital's have errors within them.  I believe you forgot to put Vitals.Energy instead of just Energy.  Attempting to debug this as we speak.

    The man bug is within the SendVital in PlayerAttackNPC.  I beleive it is due to index instead of the npc.  Once I comment it out, it works as intended.
  9. Any recommendations for implementing energy.  I did it this morning and got relatively close however there were some errors, so I am going to re-attempt it tonight.  Upon creating a new game, it calls for the vitals HP MP XP, but for some reason it was giving me an error at the XP callup. 

    If anyone has some quick advice for my re-attempt I'd be willing to take any.

    I know this isn't much of a question, but I figured if anyone is willing to share in their experience I would appreciate it.
