When they get it to work, it appears to be quite amazing. Do you guys think this could be a step in the right direction as far as literally immersing the player into the game? Couldnt really have one in every home or anything, but i would sure as hell pay to play this thing.

    > I think I'm not going to play the game. Just realized I would have to buy a motion+ controller. Paying 60 bucks for a wii game is kind of fine by me… paying 100 is not.

70$ If you buy the bundle, but I see what you're saying.

Why is everyone acting like the WiiMotion+ is great? Its better than the other one, but I was GREATLY disappointed. I find myself having to prep the angle of the sword perfectly before swinging or it has no idea where i'm attacking, and when i use the thrust attack it just slashes randomly. Its insanely frustrating in certain situations as you only have a few seconds before getting destroyed. (And yes, its calibrated.)

Anywhore, the game itself is great. Really makes you think about the whole series and how they fit together chronologically.

    @Kusy:

    > I am used to this by now… but why do we HAVE to have at least one scorpion claw-eyed boss in those games? With the exception of those that have three of those in them.

This is only proving your point about the repeated re-packaging, but it literally is the same Scorpion claw-eyed boss. It really is lame how they do it, but it makes sense logically. If you send a monster to be sealed in the "Sacred Realm" or whatnot, the same monster will be released when the seal is broken xD
Again, I dont like the way they do that either…
  3. A game i personally feel is on of the most underrated RPGs of all time: Tales of Symphonia (GameCube)
I guess you could add Tales of Destiny in there as well.

I absolutely love the battle system in all the Tales games, not much of a turn-based fan. And if you can see past some of the minor flaws that are in the game, you'll surely be amazed by how quickly you feel for the characters and the depth of the story. Absolutely original as well.
  4. So if you've played almost any two Zelda games you know that they are similar in MANY ways, but seeing as how Skyward Sword is supposed to be like a prequel to the rest of the series, I thought it might be nice to point out some things that others may not have noticed!

For instance, the goddess theme being Zelda's theme backwards:
    [Orignal Goddess Theme](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wWuoQQpHmag)
    [Theme Backwards](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vy9pC6tjxwo)
I actually tried the opposite by playing Zeldas Theme backwards, but whatever…

Or Zelda's "father" Gaebora resembling Gaebora the guide from OoT/MM/FSA:
    [Gaebora](http://www.izelda.net/media/2011/10/gaebora-skyward-sword-official-artwork.jpg)
    [Kaepora Gaebora](http://images.wikia.com/zelda/images/8/8b/Kaepora_Gaebora_%28Majora%27s_Mask%29.png)

And obviously the goddess symbols are just the Legend of Zelda symbol minus the triforce…

But I know this isn't all of it, so I was hoping someone else spotted more things. Please no haters in this thread, no "Well the graphics are outdated like all the others" or shit like that.
  5. I'm really excited to see how some of the story plays out, this being a prequel and all. I like how they secretly always kept a timeline in mind and they're starting to let it play out now. Cant wait for this version's "water temple" either >:D

Nah, It's Antho3000\. I can tell by the stickfigure animation.

Err where did you hear that? Antho is very active in my village…

  8. @Thorn:

    > Anyway, what makes the game fun for me is the social aspect. Everything from trying to work alongside 9-24 other people to take down one massive boss to just RPing and hanging out. It's not a twitch game like some, but I really like it.

I respect that, the game can be fun IF you play with cool people. If you can get a legit group of mature players for a raid, then congrats for you, but when I played it I had difficulty finding these mature players.

    *Puts on 'nostalgia goggles'*

I miss Shadowbane, that game truly brought out the social aspect of an MMO, the whole game was revolved around 40 player guilds and GvG city wars. Ahh, the good ol' days.

    *Takes off 'nostalgia goggles'*

I would get into WoW again just to play with you guys, but alas I am broke and cannot afford to play it. Not to mention school starts soon.
  9. Yeah, but there are so few people in this SG it's not even funny. I've only come into contact with one other village, and he just quit playing. I've taken every river as far as I could and have yet to find any other active settlements. I guess that could be considered a bad thing due to people's need to control uncontrolled land, but I've yet to be attacked. I hope it stays that way.
  10. I really don't get how people like WoW so much. I mean I know people can like whatever games they want to, but I really don't understand what makes this game so much better than any other game, please enlighten me.
