Can you hide the folders or will that stop the Client from recognizing them?
-
You aiming for a "Rust" / "Day Z" kind of feel?
-
Only advice would be to make the tiles less flat and the sprite looking like it's at the 45 degree-ish angle the game calls for.
But in all honesty it looks good man. Nice customization, looking forward to it! :) -
One person being a GUI artist, and the other being a tileset/sprite artist is a huge difference.
Anyone with decent photoshop/digital art skills can pump out a totally custom GUI in a couple days, perhaps even 1 if they're dedicated. I'd look to get a good chunk of your sprites and items/tiles finished before even touching the GUI graphics. Use basic placeholders until your game has developed a style. All about priorities ;) -
It's come a long way already man, good job :)

Did you run the run time files installation as well?
Looks like it may be an issue with the auto updater. Do the update files exist in the server/client folder? -
Paperdolls
in Q & A
PNG is the format, but make sure you have about 5 paperdoll files in your folder. Even if it's duplicates. -
Maybe it's just me but I have no idea what you're asking.

> I don't believe so as 5 will be in a different programming language than 4\. I'll wait for an Admin to say for sure though. I WOULD, however, start planning your game no matter what the case. When you come right down to it, making a game is hard work that requires dedication and focus. Good luck, whatever your plans! -
Executed correctly, this could be fun.

Dude seriously….
I'm amazed. Such an inspiration when it comes to your pixel art man. Really.
Very minimalist but done better than anything I've seen. Super clean.
I used your tree's shading from your shop topic as a guideline and really impressed myself. I'm stoked for really anything you've got on the go. Keep us in the loop man and much love.
Cheers bud,

Maybe change the opacity of the blue background a little lower? I agree, it is very hard on the eyes mainly because of the background.
At the same time, I like the site! Looks good man :) -
This post was made in May 2013, almost 1 year ago haha.
Good on ya for helping out but I don't believe this is an issue anymore ;p -
Cant be done without replacing other crucial letters. You'll need to customize EO2 a little bit.

Hey guys!
So I run a local music festival here in my city and the theme of our event this year is 'retro gaming'.
SO
This is what I need. I need someone to make each member of the group (pic below) into a sprite you would see in an old retro game or just plain old pixel art.
I've attempted it and failed, but if I can have another attempt done on this that would be great!

Any questions, let me know! -
I think most people willing to put time into a project would like to see what work has already been done. Really excited to see what you come up with, but nobody wants to put time into a GUI on a 'promised' game.
All the best, dude! :)

The IP should be what he enters or what you enter when you create a 'new' server in the client when it loads.
Port forwarding your router is the important part.
You can use this: [http://www.eclipseorigins.com/community/index.php?/page/index.html/statuschecker.html](http://www.eclipseorigins.com/community/index.php?/page/index.html/statuschecker.html)
And it will help you determine if what you're is correct. -
Perfect. I'll finish up the sheets tonight then and let you all know how it goes haha.

Hey guys! I have a few files at home that I've been working on but I figured I'd ask here before I waste anymore time.
I am using 32x48 sprites, and I want to include paperdoll files where each tile is actually wider than my sprites. Is this even possible or am I wasting my time?
Example, my sprite is 32x48 but the overlay for my paperdoll is 48x48.
Another question to ask at this point is would my 48 x 48 paperdoll tile center itself over the 32x48 or start at the 1, 1 Pixel of my character sprite? -
Ah - I got it! Freakin' vista.
Thanks guys! Didn't even realize computers had this option on monitors as old as that one was. -
Nothing :/ That was the first thing I did but nothing.
-
How abouts would I go and change that? I can't find anything in Display Settings - am I looking in the wrong area?
-
In photoshop or the preferences? And 72 is the default DPI for my program - is that normal?
I wasn't even aware that the DPI effected anything until you actually physically printed something haha. The more you know!
