How to make transparent sprites

okey guy this it my first real tutorial ever so please dont rage on me if something is missing

oke first open up paint

then use the magnifying glass to max zoom in

then use pencil to make this pattern 

in the color of the background of your sprite

now select that pattern and copy and paste it until you have a 128x192 square like this 

now open up you sprite that you want to make transparent

now copy you pattern and paste it on top of your sprite like this 

now save it and try it out

mine looks like this 

and here me as that sprite

I used this technique in ES and its a very cleaver way to do the transparency effect on paint, it wont look like the real alpha channels but it will do the trick.

This can also be used to re-add shadows to buildings, trees etc…
