Ertzel Posted October 27, 2012 Share Posted October 27, 2012 The problem with mapping contests that don't use a set mapset is sadly most people will base on what tilesets they like the most and not the actual mapping or will look right past maps with the default tiles.Also, its very vague with todays version of Eclipse when you say Map numbers 2-10\. Before maps where all one set size without scrolling but now you can have maps up to 100 or more (although not recommended) tiles so someone's 2-10 maps could be someone else's 2-15 maps… Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If so, I strongly disagree. While it's a nice touch, It honestly doesn't add much to the map. Often it looks ugly, also. It's much more important to have a good map structure and have a good looking map than having a little shadow under the trees and having the lamps light up. As everyone else has posted, only post a map image, this is a graphical mapping contest not an NPC and Event placement competition.3\. Yes you may submit a .GIF, However, In my experiences the animated tiling system on eclipse is far from smooth, so it may make a nice solid map look out of place.4\.
