**Are you good at pixel art?**

Think you have what it takes?

We're looking to increase our collection of character sprites, armor, weapons and baddies! (We are not looking for tilesets) This is your chance to show off your work and possibly make some money doing so!

Want to make monsters? animals? armor? weapons? shields? paperdolls? Hair?

Go for it! There's no specific style required, we just ask that you use the templates provided if you're creating body armor, shields, helmets or hair!

Making armor or helmets, use these templates!

**The rules:**

1\. You waive the right to anything you submit (it becomes property of Samu Games LLC). If anything you've created gets used by us, you will receive notification and credit.

2\. You agree that anything you submit does not infringe upon any copyright or trade marks.

3\. You agree that any contest prizes are paid out via PayPal and will require a PayPal account to receive your winnings.

4\. You are able to submit as many items as you desire, the more you submit, the greater your chances of winning.

5\. If you are creating body armor or shields, you will use the body as a template for armor positioning.

6\. If you are creating a helmet, you will use the head as a template for helmet positioning.

7\. If you are creating hair, you will use the hair template as an example for positioning and colors. Hair colors are determined by the game engine, so they must be in white and darker shades for shadowing.

8\. The contest will end January 4th, 2013!

9\. The top prize (as voted by a majority vote on the forums) will receive $50 USD.

10\. The second prize is $30 USD.

11\. The third prize is $20 USD.

12\. All artwork submitted by users, including the templates provided by Samu Games LLC cannot be used or redistributed without expressed written consent of Samu Games LLC.

13\. In the event of a tie, Samu Games LLC reserves the right to decide a winner.

**Submit your artwork by replying to this post. At the end of the competition, we will put all the artwork on a voting site for 3 days!**

so basicly this is a recruitment so people dont get the rights to their stuff?

Personally dont think contest should have your rights of your own artwork taken away.

Give us free sprites and who ever does the best job ill pay you and all you others oh well you get nothing and you can no longer use the sprite you made topic.

that sir is not a contest

The items they send in could be used in a game, and will be personalised to the templates Rob supplied. Therefore there would be little point in using them for your own project, as they are custom-sized to fit the example above.

Plus the money prize is pretty big for a couple of images.

It's a clever marketing ploy I agree Draken.

The fact of the matter is that this is not mandatory, if people want to submit, they're more than willing, but it's not an obligation. If they choose to give up a few minutes of their time for some artwork, great, but we aren't twisting anyone's arms.

Might submit more later. I like drawing/spriting hair. The size of your sprites made it easier to draw on as I normally would. Just wish they weren't so darn close together… Hurmpt... Doesn't give it much room for the _umph_.
