Guest
Okay, this tutorial is about making good EXP level up values.**Your Max LevelThe very first thing you need to do is modify your data.ini so your maximum level is what you want it to be. Make a mental note of that.**A good FormulaGetting a good formula takes time and thought. The formula should include….-EXP an NPC gives per level...E.g EXP given is twice level of NPC-EXP you need to level upE.G EXP needed to level up for levels 1-15 is 50x the level... etcPLEASE note that the values should be somewhat consistent. You don't want it to be that a level 1 NPC gives 2 exp and that you need 1000 exp to level up... >_>**Applying that formulaGo to your experience.ini and modify the values according to your formula. Then, in your client, edit the EXP NPCs give.**Testing itGo to your client… make a level 1 character. Then start fighting some monsters, and make sure that the values make since like I said above. Make sure that leveling up is somewhat a challenge, but it isn't outrageously tough to level up. **Post NoteYou may want to make it so that it gets tougher to level up the higher you level up… otherwise people will be leveling up to 100 in one day. You don't want that.**My FormulaPLEASE DO NOT STEAL!!! THIS IS JUST AN EXAMPLE OF A WELL THOUGHT OUT FORMULA.For MonstersExperience Gained = Level * 5For PlayersLevel 1-4EXP Needed = (Level * 75)Level 5 - 19EXP Needed = (Level * 200)Level 20 - 39EXP Needed = (Level * 750)Level 40 - 69EXP Needed = (Level * 1500)Level 70 - 99EXP Needed = (Level * 4000)Level 100 - 124EXP Needed = (Level * 5000)Level 125 - 149EXP Needed = (Level * 25,000)************
