Yuko Posted April 4, 2013 Author Share Posted April 4, 2013 Welcome to the Eclipse++ GUI Contest.The rules are simple and pretty much to the point.You may open the spoiler for the rules and the prizes are also listed below.**Prizes**1st - 10,000 Forum Points for you to use in the New Eclipse Shop & A Colored Name2nd - 5,000 Forum Points for you to use in the New Eclipse Shop3rd - A colored name for your member name within the forum**Contest Rules**1\. Entries may begin today, the entry must include some examples of your GUI pack made for Eclipse++ and it must include the download information in a spoiler or in your post. Please put your examples in a spoiler by using the [ spoiler ] [ /spoiler] BBCodes.2\. You have one month to complete and submit your entry in the comments. The contest voting will begin on May 3rd. All decent entries will be re-posted by me and will be put up for a vote.3\. All members will have about 5 days to vote and the winners will be announced. The best GUI will be used in the Eclipse++ Project that Marshy Dearest has been making for a while. This contest will help him be able to make Eclipse++ much faster for us to enjoy!Now for the good stuff, below in the spoiler are the official requirements for the entry.Below or precise instructions included by Marshy Dearest for your GUI entry.>! Theme of the GUI Design: Fantasy>! All GUI's must be 1024 by 768>! **Main Menu**>! Text Saying Eclipse++ Looking awesome and such>! Username Box>! Password Box>! Email Box>! New Account Button>! Login Button>! Credits Button>! Website Button>! Credits Menu>! Just a spot for credits and a back button.>! **Ingame GUI**>! For this you basically have full freedom. I can work around whatever you give me. At this point i really just need a chat box. Considering the game screen for this is much bigger scale it up. Doesnt need to cover the full width or anything just make it readable.>! **Buttons**>! Inventory Button>! Spells Button>! Options Button>! Exit Button>! Health Bar>! Mana Bar>! Experience Bar>! **Spot to display Gold**>! **Boxes**>! Inventory Box>! Spell Box>! Options Box>! They can all look the same if you want with different text. They will be gradable so hopefully it wont be incorporated into the GUI fully but if so that is fine.>! .>! **Bonus points if everything is setup to pop up a menu and not be incorporated into the GUI so that everything can be moved or hidden. Look at the crystalshire GUI if you dont know what im talking about.**>! **Do notice, if you think this is too much to make for a contest, Marshy Dearest said it is okay to just submit as much as you get done before the entries are due. I could understand just the game ui but asking for Credit Ui, Login, All the boxes is a bit absurd imo for just forum points…If this was just a "Show us your Design Skills and make a game ui" I think more talent would appearJus' sayin Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

So while it would work as a contest it would not ever get used. Which isnt necessarily a bad thing.If you dont want to make a full set dont just enter as much as you have.
