Introduction

Via Stella is a single-player Space Simulation game. The player takes on the role as the Artificial Intelligence of a human space ship, known as the Director. As the director, it is your job to make sure that your crew members have their needs met, their tasks and routines handled, their uniforms handed out and their supplies replenished. Not only do you handle the crew members' needs, but also the ships - maintenance, modifications, upgrades, expansion.

With your crew and ship in working order, you are then ready to take on your mission - whatever that may be. Play either an offensive, defensive, exploratory or civilian life.

Crew members have complex personalities and relationships between another, so you'll also, on occasion, need to keep an eye out for any troublemakers and any issues on-board. Crew members have Minor Ambitions, Major Ambitions and "Current Task". These three may for example find a crew member in love with another member and wanting to woo her or him, eventually want to become lead Ecologist aboard and have to go to the lab to do some research.

When in space and traveling, your supplies will eventually diminish. As a result, you'll often have to pull in at ports or U-turn to the nearest space station before the Point of No Return. Keeping an eye on your CO2 scrubbers, fuel and crew supplies is essential. When you **do** return to a space station, your crew members may request some personal desires, such as the next film in their favourite TV series, or a new toothbrush.

**Exploration**: Explore new worlds, new intelligent life.

**Civilian**: Mine, Trade, Hunt and Cheat your way into financial success.

I like the AI idea, would be fun to do and its something unique which is pretty rare. Kind of sounds like the sims mixed with eve nova. But maybe im just misinterpreting. What are you programming this in? vb6?

For the need bars, I've made a comment box. The width of which is 2000, and changes according the person's need… 100% is 2000\. 50% is 1000\. Etc.

I then made a duplicate comment box(es) for the background, a blank grey :3\. I think it's purrty.

Ladies and Gents… The Ship Editor.

Still only just about working, but, it's a start!

You choose a component on the left, then draw it on the right. In theory, when done, you save the ship and can play as it. The game programs the rooms into the game by ID and the location you've put it in, which should effect things such as invasions and spread of fires.

That's all I've got so far.

Furthermore from this though, you then need to assign jobs,

work hours, uniforms, offices and quarters to your crew.

Whilst you're docked, you also need to purchase any food,

water, technology, uniforms components, weapons, etc that you need for your voyage.

- Added ability to "Erase" tiles you've drawn by accident.

- Added credits system to limit your ship size, considering it's a beginner ship and all.

- Added default tile when you start the creator, so you don't get errors for drawing without selecting a tile.

- Fixed a bug where you can right click to receive credits for highlighted-in-toolbox, rather than for what you're actually removing.

- Added "Structure" tile so you can make it just a little prettier and fill in the blank spaces.
