It's still in development from the looks of it (and early development at that), but I do agree that "MMO" is an over-used term used in the wrong context.

Definitely bad form to hold a contest, offer prizes, then not follow through with it after you've spent the time orchestrating the damn thing.

Nah, I agree with you. If you won a contest that was promoting a monetary prize then you should have been given the money. I believe the next time someone wants to hold a contest the prizes should be held by a third party until a winner is declared, and at which point the third party would deliver them to the winner. This will keep the contest holder from pulling out their offer or incentives at the last minute.

I was asking Marshy Dearest about this not long ago.

I'm gonna try and contact him on his new site or whatever.

I just don't understand how someone could be that ignorant and irresponsible to do such a thing.

Just dumb in my opinion.
