Interesting. I like the design - the face especially. Seems like you're struggling to convey depth, however. The skull looks like a beveled sticker.

Really creative, and interesting texturing and color choices on skull, I don't like the face colors as much since the highlight color is so similar to the base color but it's still working together and looks great :)

Ehh… not everything needs to look like a cartoon. There's more light variation in his palette than what you'd typically see on a face. To me it seems like the light is not a problem, but darkness might be. The hatching being such high contrast takes away from the shading. 

Great concept and well-executed.
