ok, i was doing some work for a friend of my and clicked on a link [i don't
remember which one it was] but i was searching on the topic of Obama, and
i was getting a few lousy link but when i click on the one one the 5th page
my whole computers hard drive made a sound like a engine revving up, i got
a little scared and turned off the computer and restarted it to find out what
seemed to be nothing on the surface but at closer inspection whatever it
was, this virus was deleting my files and sending them to another place
[which i tried looking up but dose not exist] so im now rebuilding my computer
from ground up well software a least, because i never pay for software if you know
what i mean… so be warned Google has viral links....

They index a ton of sites, how can they tell if one of those millions of sites has a virus on it. Also unless you ran something its pretty unlikely you get a virus from there. You can put them in images etc, but its not very common. Could just be a hard drive malfunction.

You can get virus links from all kinds of places. If a website, even a reputable one, has ads and it doesn't monitor or filter them in anyway there is a chance one with a virus will get on there.

I can't help it people, mainly pointing at some operating system developers like Microsoft, are too stupid to still use HTTP, HTML, PHP, JS, etc. without even changing the protocol itself to full binary instead of text, IMO.
