Project: Zelda

So here is the deal, one night I was just lying in bed thinking about stuff, and suddenly the game Zelda: Ocarina of Time(Z: OOC) popped up in my head, while I was enjoying this, another thought came up, "Why not make a Zelda game?". So I was brainstorming about if it is possible and such, and I came to conclusion that it actually IS possible, but I would just need a huge and good team to do this.

So I would need a huge map containing WHOLE Hyrule and its cities and dungeons.

You would start off as a kid, in Kokiri town, getting your first equipment and doing your first quest(The Great Deku Tree Quest) and after that you can leave the village seeking for more adventure.

And at a certain time you can become an adult, by pulling out the Master Sword from its pedestal(On the map you would just get teleported to the copied Hyrule, but a bit editted for the Adult players). And later you can also travel back in time and do other quests, or getting other equipment and such.

But what I also have been thinking, and having more fun playing the ocarina with songs and such, while the Ocarina is being some sort of book, where you can enter songs, for example the song of time would look like this:

> >AV>AV

> = Right
A = A
V = Down
^ = Up
< = Left

And with this you can play other songs as well, and we can add a background music on it from the original game(I have it on an Emulator)

So here is what I have been thinking to add to the features:

- Custom Items
- Custom Map
- Custom Quests
- Custom Monsters
- Custom Sprites
- Custom Spells
- Custom Bosses
- Time Traveling
- Jumping off ledges
- Climbing upon certain ledges
- The Hookshot Sling
- **Riding a horse**
- Learning Songs
- Changing day/night time(Dont know if this is possible yet)
- Rolling on the ground like link does(Can be a spell)
- Swimming underwater
- SOUNDS IN-GAME

-And much more!

And again, I would need a huge team for this!

Sounds like you pretty much are going to copy Ocarina of Time exactly, except make it multiplayer. If you don't have your own touches to it, its not going to go far. Not to mention, that's a lot of work, and I would know. Do you have an insane programmer to do swimming under water, rolling, boss AI, and all that?

I don't think his programmer can make up a totally new engine or code that, not everyone is Spainion :P.

@The:

> so you're gonna make a game of a game? fail

In other words some people might call this a "fan game". I don't see too much fail in this if he does release it, it actually could have to utmost opposite effect, such as hordes of people downloading it just to play. But fangames are tricky since they req. advanced features and a very stable structural story base, must be original too. In other words it's highly unlikely that this game will ever be released as a "near-completion" project, but I still wish him good luck on this nonetheless.
