I think the trees seem a bit flat? Also, it would be nice to make the "background" tiles more different than the front ones - just making them darker is not working that well… they're also too blocky for their own good, even if that's what you were aiming for. Personally, I like the darker replica for a background. But the overall palette could use an increase in brightness, possibly contrast. Other than that nice work! It's like they're supposed to be a prop for the ground you're walking on, as opposed to a tree with depth implied by a background parallax.
