Northern Frontier - Graphic Work (Updated 22 December, 2010)

Hello,

These are the graphics for my project Northern Frontier (Insert W.I.P link here) please post **C**ONSTRUCTIVE **C**RITICISM.

**Sprites**

Male Base (Release 2 + Blue Clothed)


This edit changed the legs, Anasky explained to me that they were to straight and a blue clothed version has been added.

The images head was based off Azkanan's tutorial found [here](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/smf/index.php/topic,62095.0.html), the sprite body was based off what Slym said to me via MSN and some internet resources (Of which I have no link for ATM, will update this ASAP).

The pallet im using was given to my by Beau (Kreator).

It reminds me of a doll but I honestly like it. Better than anything I can make. How long did it take?

About an hour and a half. Head was quite quick (Read the reference) the body took longer.

Use a different tutorial. Azkanan can't pixel.

You sir, are spending too much time on your sprites.

Anyway, he does look like he is eating something, his cheeks are pillowshaded.

Try different tutorials, about shading etc.

Its my first sprite, not really worried about time. Yeah is should read some other tutorials.

If you look closely it doesn't look like he's eating, but when looking at it normally it does look like that. Still good for a first sprite though :)

In the nicest way possible it looks like Chucky and a Cabbage Patch Kid had a child.

The anatomy makes your sprite appear pudgy. I recommend working with the first Sprite that you had and then adding tone to make him appear to have some form of muscles.

Next the eyes appear very demonic, add some color to them and fix the chubby in the cheeks.

It looks good, but he's got some chubby checks ;D

Don't like the lines on the side of the mouth, because thats what makes it look like its eating.

Sorry but 1:30 is not nearly enough time on a sprite :P

Anyway, this is a major improvement from what you had before :D

Get a better tutorial for sprites, i say.
