24/7 Server

[Doraemon]

Things that need:
- $3.00 per month
- Putty (Search in Google and download it)
- Nomachine NX (Google too)

1\. Buy a server from 123systems.net (Lin-256MB) [It does burst 512 as well]
2\. Reinstall OS to the OS you wants to (In this tutorial, i use CentOS)
3\. Connect via Putty
4\. Hostname or IP Address: (The IP address free when you bought that server)
5\. Port: 22
6\. Click "Open"
7\. Now go to SolumVS (ex: https://srv**.123systems.net:****)
8\. Click on "Root Password"
9\. Enter a new password (ex: 123456)
10\. Now go back to Putty
11\. login as: root
12\. [email protected]'s password: (it will not show up, just continue typing ur password)
13\. You will get this now: [root@xxx ~]#
14\. Now let start installing something~
15\. Type in:

> yum groupinstall "XFCE-4.4"

16\. Type "Y" when it asked you to download or not
17\. After you saw "Complete!", type in:

> yum install freenx

18\. Also wait till it said "Complete!", type in:

> cat /etc/nxserver/client.id_dsa.key

19\. And copy down the detail shown from –---BEGIN DSA PRIVATE KEY----- to -----END DSA PRIVATE KEY-----
20\. Now go Google and Search for "Nomachine NX" and download the client
21\. After install done, run the Nomachine NX wizard
22\. Now do what i said:
Session: (Any name you like)
Host: Your Server's IP Address
-----
Click Next
-----
Unix
Custom
Settings:

> Run the following command: startxfce4

23\. Now, you will saw (Any name you like) shortcut on your desktop, run it
24\. Click "Configure…"
25\. General > Key...
26\. Paste the -----BEGIN DSA PRIVATE KEY----- that you had copied just now
27\. Now Login with root and Password with the "root password" u had set just now
28\. After a while, u will saw a !M red box came up
29\. After a more while, a rat will flashing
30\. Now it is time for gameserver!
31\. Download http://tiny.cc/winehq on server via default browser in your server and save it on folder "root"
32\. Next type in this on Putty

> rpm –import http://tiny.cc/winehqkey

33\. Next type in this on Putty

> rpm -i rpmforge-release-0.5.2-2.el5.rf.i386.rpm

34\. Now your Wine had installed!
35\. Zip the server folder and copy to your server (Make sure you put in root folder too!)
36\. Now type this in Putty:

> unzip server.zip

37\. Next, download Runtimes Library to your server with any way you can
38\. Rename it to EO.exe and make sure you put in root folder
39\. Go to your server's desktop and click the console icon at the bottom
40\. Type in

> wine EO.exe

41\. Just install library file that u does in your own computer
42\. After installation complete, type in

> wine server/Server.exe

43\. In the client, make sure you put your server's IP address in the config.ini
44\. There are no portforwarding needed, just use

> wine server/Server.exe

to run it at anytime

Finally, i had done this tutorial, hope you can have your own 24/7 server!

haha, well this game im makin is one in a list of games im gonna make, and mabey earn some money in the  process… so i have a pc designated to just the server. thankz anyway though!

This is not working when i try to run it throught Nomachine NX the screen with M logo wont show and nothing else happen, it will stay in task manager process called NXWIN.exe and that process is freezed at ram usage around 10000 K and cpu usage 0 percent
