Hamachi connecting

Hi, I am trying to help my friend connect onto my server.
he installed EO, has up-to-date client data
so far we both have hamachi, the config.ini has my hamachi ip, we are in the same network on hamachi
am I missing a step or two?
But my other friend is able to log on tho using the same ip

Eeehh, Don't use Hamachi D:

If you really have to, I think you need to put your external IP in, not your Hamachi Network. Using Hamachi is essentially abusing it's networking features. If he's trying to connect to your Hamachi Network it won't get through. Use [this website](http://www.ipchicken.com) to get your external IP.

I'm pretty sure if you want to use your external IP, it requires you to do port-forwarding. Don't ask me how to do port forwarding. Port forwarding can be different for many computers/Routers. There is many topics here you can search for that will tell you how to do that.

If that is why you were trying to use Hamachi ( to avoid port fowarding,) then…..

1\. Are you ensuring both have the same port number too?
2\. Check and make sure your firewall isn't blocking the server or the folder the server is in.
( Search for terms like "allow a program through windows firewall"  on google.)
3\. Make sure his computer's firewall isn't blocking something.

What type of Router do you have?

I have a 2Wire 2701HG-B, so far I've tried with going to my homeportal to and add the port to firewall
I also try to test to see if its forwarded correctly via Simple Port but it said its not working.
I am not sure if its because I am using Win7

I am also using Windows 7\. Eclipse Origins was created to work on a windows 7 machine. So you should be fine. I looked around for your router. So check out some of these links.
