Most people are coming up with the question on how to paperdoll in the new EO. Here you go:
The paints that you want to use need to have **LAYERS**!! If you don't know what layers are then just watch and you will learn.

Open up your character images for example here is one of mine:
[![](http://img545.imageshack.us/img545/6408/characterimage.png)](http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/545/characterimage.png/)

Open up your weapons page or create a new weapon on another page like this:
[![](http://img20.imageshack.us/img20/3699/weaponimage.png)](http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/20/weaponimage.png/)

Now if there is any paint around the image you want to paperdoll then you want to use the **Magic Wand** tool to delete the paint around the image. Click the **Magic Wand** and then right click the paint surrounding your image like so:
[![](http://img843.imageshack.us/img843/7982/magicwanded.png)](http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/843/magicwanded.png/)

Now go to edit and cut:

[![](http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/3537/magicwandedcut.png)](http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/3/magicwandedcut.png/)

You should now have a image like so:
[![](http://img692.imageshack.us/img692/6923/magicwandfinish.png)](http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/692/magicwandfinish.png/)

Use your rectangle select tool, select the weapon you want, and copy it:
[![](http://img41.imageshack.us/img41/5619/rectangleselectandcopy.png)](http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/41/rectangleselectandcopy.png/)

Now go back to your character image and go to edit and paste into new layer:
[![](http://img827.imageshack.us/img827/1949/characterandpasteintone.png)](http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/827/characterandpasteintone.png/)

Start placing your weapons where u want them on your character like so:
[![](http://img844.imageshack.us/img844/8498/characterpasteontoimage.png)](http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/844/characterpasteontoimage.png/)

Now that you have pasted all of your weapons onto the character where you want its time to delete your first layer. Go over to your layers tool bar(Click window then layers if your bar isn't out) and click on your background image, then click delete:
[![](http://img12.imageshack.us/img12/6389/deletingbackground.png)](http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/12/deletingbackground.png/)

You should now have a image that looks like so:
[![](http://img204.imageshack.us/img204/6320/deletedbackground.png)](http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/204/deletedbackground.png/)

Color your background with a magenta color or a color that you know that u wont use in your game and save to paperdolls as a BMP.

Finally you are done!!! Congratz you have made a paperdoll properly!!

This is a very good tutorial; I never thought of paperdolling with layers before.

God- This is what I don't like about EO. No offense to Robin, but it's dynamic maps, dynamic sprites, dynamic spells, animations and then he falls up short when it comes to paperdoll items. From what has happened with my shorter characters, the paperdolls have never worked just right. Hopefully Robin or someone else will be able to add this to EO in a future release.

The paperdolls worked just like they were coded to do. That they 'never worked just right' is just your own opinion. Just like my opinion is that they work perfectly fine for me.

So if you want paperdolls to be 'improved' I suggest you try to tweak it yourself or find someone to do it for you.
