**Welcome one and all, to the next Official Mapping Contest for Eclipse!**

* * *

We have had a huge turnout with the last contest, making hosting these all the better! But even still, I encourage all mappers, new and experienced to enter; As it widens the pool of contestants and makes the contests more interesting and more fun to vote on.

This Month, I have chosen something quite basic, although it can be mapped in many different ways, with many different styles. There are a few conditions though, just to keep the fun side of things present.

* * *

If you are unsure on how I run the contest, these are the guidelines in which you must map by in order to enter your map to the contest.

Map Theme - _This is the theme of the map that must be portrayed in order for your map to be entered into the contest… Such as Forest, Cave, Snow, Mountain, City, etc..._

Map Amount - _This is the number of maps you are allowed to add in **1 connected entry**…_

Tile Sets - _This is the different type of tile sets you can use, for example; Reiners, RMXP, RM2K, Custom, etc…_

Time Limit - _Fairly simply put, this is the allotted time in which you have to enter the map._

Special Rules - _These rules are extra rules which may or may not be put in place for different contests, such as having minimum of 10 full water tiles._

* * *

**Rules that apply to every contest**

Major Rules

* Do not steal maps that you yourself have not made and submit them.
* When submitting your maps, you must make a map according to the Theme of the specific Contest.
* Do not criticize participants Maps.
* Maps **Must** be made with **Eclipse**

Minor Re-enforcements

* Once maps are submitted, editing is out of the question.
* Referring to the first Minor Re-enforcement, A Maximum of 3 Maps can be submitted, whether that be editing(New Post), or a brand new map.
* Be Creative when making your maps, don't expect to win a contest so easily, make maps according to your skill.

* * *

The max. maps is 6\. So if we have say, 4 maps, does each map need to be banked up on 2 sides, or does the area we're mapping? Say we bank the left and right sides, that would mean map 1 and 2 have their left side banked, while map 3 and 4 have their right side.

… Is this what you mean?

If you make 6 maps it counts as one big map. So just the area needs to have 2 mountains.

I'd.. almost have to agree, but I'm not completely sure.
I'd prefer if we had a specific tileset to work with so this was more about mapping than tileset collecting/creating. :3
But that's all up to Marshy

Some people work better with some tilesets then other. Also it would just be the generic RMXP tiles and maps. This way you can create something unique or create a mixture of tilesets if you are good enough to pull it off. No one has an advantage as you could just go grab the same set and make a map from it.

@Anosora:

> I don't need money

You're missing my point. You don't have the authority to make your own mapping rules since Marsh is donating his money for this contest. He chooses the rules because it's his own contest. You're coming in here and saying that it shouldn't have mountains and should have a town instead.
