You can still use free avg edition as well. I have 3 anti virus programs. AVG, Norton and MacAfee.

@Yukiyo:

> Am I the only one who doesn't use antivirus .. and has only ever been infected by one virus?

I seemed to get an EXCESSIVE increase of "viruses" from Avast and Norton way back on my old computer. So I just stopped using anti-viruses altogether. Don't download suspicious things and you'll be just fine. (Been 7 years since I used an anti-virus on multiple PCs, no viruses. :D)

@Pokemon:

> my pc is totally infected with virus.such as trojon infected taskmng.exe. etc . my pc is in risk .plz help me.And also infected my quick heal.

Try this
1) Back up everything important you have to another partition a disk then reinstall your os.
2) try to go to safe mode with networking it will stop the start up processes of every app on your pc. then go download some anti virus and malware bytes and scan your pc thoroughly. press f8 repeatedly to accesses advanced config and then choose safe mode with networking. good luck. and also most virus might have also gained access to safe mode so this might not work.

Nope didn't work. I  tried to get on the site to check the source index and add a tut when i got it again. though i closed it by mistake without screen shooting it. will do it next time i get it. that is when i restart the pc.

Trojan can't be obtained unless you downloaded something. If you got it recently try removing with an AV. If you don't have download one using Safe Mode. @Pokemon:

Did you try using safe mode? It will most probably stop the start up of the virus along with everything else. After which you can safely start your quick heal and scan your pc.

I love it how most people here don't know what a real virus, or trojan is.

@Yumi, a Trojan is a file you've downloaded and EXECUTED because it makes everything think it's a harmless file, which they still are in most cases. If he's blaming you for it, just remove the bugger with an anti-virus and problem solved. It really shouldn't matter much. (Not to mention, so long as you don't execute the file nothing happens, a Virus can not force itself to suddenly activate out of nowhere unless they're part of a Flash/Java run script, which means you're an idiot and are using a horribly outdated version.)

@Pokemon Earth Online (R), I haven't seen you make any sensible post ever, but whatever I'll try.
Again, a virus does not randomly activate from your file when you download it. You need to execute it yourself. You've likely just been downloading random shit as a hyperactive 13 year old frantically looking to statisfy their raging hormones and opening/activating it all.

And beside that, if you have a decent virus scanner it would have noticed what file was infected and notified you of it when you first tried executing it.

Oh, and @Yukiyo, not every virus is a disastrous monster that will kill your PC. Most are small creepers that send out passwords or usage statistics to a remote host. And considering there's a saying in IT that you can't go 15 minutes on the net without being the target of a simple virus, be it greyware or adware makes me really skeptical about this. Not to mention you probably picked a horrible horrible "Free" anti virus, there's a few of those but they're a virus in itself.

^Ahbi wrote pretty much the same thing.

Scypher Nicely explained. But any virus can self-execute out of nowhere. They just need to add a line to execute the file on start-up. Though I haven't seen any i think they need Java. And if it is a Java based Trojan easiest way would be to uninstall java and restart PC. The program should give error that it couldn't find Java and file location then delete.

Me 2\.

@‭‭‭Marshy:

I'll test it now when I restart.
EDIT:No Problem

Ahbi, this can only happen if you use an older version of java or flash with that old security leak. Not to mention it usually asks if you want to trust the developer of the app before excecuting it, so even It's hidden it will not excecute unless you give it permission.

It's possible, but only happens if you have no regard for safety.

You can easily infect this site by changing /smf2/ to /smf3/ in the link and use the appearing error to infect the site if im on the right way..
I still think that someone have "http://novikkoll.in/" in their signature or anywhere.Google says its infected link but this site is crashed for this moment.I havent read this 3 pages so sry if that have been posted earlier.
