  2. > He's a little slow… That's why I asked the question, fucktard.
  3. > Still, it's nice to see one of the only(?) successful Eclipse-based games having some updates. Keep it up. ![:)](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/community/public/style_emoticons//smile.png) Define "eclipse-based".
  4. > Won't _you_ say _you love_ me TOO! No.
  5. > Please. There's hundreds of tutorials in the tutorial board on that. Can't tell if you're being condescending or not.
  6. Port forwarding shiz. That gets asked just as much as anything here.
  7. > Finally, "the corpse" can now be looted for a random item. inb4 I make 100 accounts and start spamming bodies
  8. Will I get an assistant's position?
  9. > Will you people consider Argentina to meet up? It has drug cartels. Fixed.

    My Pixel Art

I can honestly say that you're in the top ~~10~~ 5 artists to ever visit these forums. I was really impressed.
  11. > I'd love to meet: > > Carim > > DTK > > General Awesome > > Hao > > Marshy Dearest Dearest > > Aaron ;_;
  12. Ok, I just wanted to make sure that you were getting a fair opinion on those graphics. People tend to be too nice to the point that some people literally think they're pixel gods and then stop improving. I didn't want you to fall into that trap ![:)](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/community/public/style_emoticons//smile.png)
  13. > hes doing from scratch no mess code… Yes, because anything written from scratch is _never_ messy, right?

It's a well known troll forum. In other words, they completely agree with Helladen.
  15. > D) You're a homo. I love you Kusy.
  16. Honestly. It's shit like this that makes a bad reputation for dubstep.
  17. > I posted actual feedback. ): Yeah, I think you and Syn did earlier, but he seemed to have ignored it.
  18. 1) You aren't making dubstep, the thing is generating it for you 2) They both suck 3) This isn't a debate 4) You guys are completely discrediting those who make REAL dubstep with REAL VSTs and not some shitty generator
  19. Okay, sorry to burst your buble, but this is **not** good at all. There are ways to be minimalistic and cartoony without looking like you made the graphics in 2 seconds. Seriously, this "art" you've done requires no skill to do. You simply just drew a bunch of lines and slapped some generic default MS Paint pallet colors onto it. This isn't a "style"– it's just laziness. Nobody besides a few Eclipsers would ever play a game that looked like that. Now that I've broken it down, time for some construction: 1) Learn shading 2) Learn actual line art (using the line tool != lineart) 3) Learn how to make an actual pallet and not cheesy colors 4) Look at PROFESSIONAL cartoony art (Maplestory, any JRPG, etc) and see what it's supposed to look like I'm sorry, but I'm tired of no actual feedback being given on these threads. They just fester into huge circlejerks and it's resulted in very crappy work recently. Ignore everyone who's all over you right now because _they won't help you get better_. Everyone just swarms for the likes and post counts now.
  20. How the hell did you manage to find 150 swear words?
  21. > Throw in the 10k postcount and the painties and you have yourself a deal. ![^_^](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/community/public/style_emoticons//happy.png) HE'S HACKED! OH NO!
  22. > Why's the graphics so inconsistent? Some tiles such as the grass and trees look good, nice colors and well made. Then there's the fence bearing much darker outlines, and lower quality. And finally the inventory items which look disfigured due to bad scaling or resizing? Placeholders vs ICT's art. A lot of the graphics are yet to be finished.
  23. > I personally dislike the persistent body design. It has pros and cons, but it makes me feel as a player that I must log-in everyday at specific times/monitor my body all the time. It just feels like a huge hassle in my opinion. > > Anyway the game looks fairly good; good luck with it. Thanks! We're currently switching a lot of stuff around with the new systems and such, so it'll all be changed before release.
  24. **Some stats:** We get about 7 players constantly during our non-promoted (no new client update or features) prime hours, about 15 constantly during our promoted prime hours, and 3 during our non-promoted off-hours. Most we've had on at once was 20\. There are more than 5 factions which have already formed (3-10 people in each) and they use Skype to connect with each other. Only 1 has been able to form a village thus far. Maximum server connectors for Windows is 64, 1024 for Linux (unless I add multiple selectors and redo the backend which is now seeming inevitable). There are currently only ~40 testers admitted to these tests, 20 of which are active daily. 60 more people have requested to be in the next session, and they are currently wait listed as we slowly allow more players to join alpha. We project 200 testers by the end of alpha, at which point it will be cutoff with no new testers accepted. The server seems capable of only handling a few dozen players at the moment, but once I redo the backend I will be able to extend sustainability to 1000 players without much lag (hopefully). We only have 1 server working at the moment, but we plan to launch with servers in the UK, Western US, Eastern US, and Australia.
