  1. @Anna: > Leniency for what? > It's very simple, you read and think before posting, you won't break any rules or get warned. That's all. Might not seem like much to new members, but you might make a wrong post here and there, or ask questions that have been asked before, ok it's not a problem, is it? But a day later, or week, or month, others will have made the same little innocent mistake you have made. > > Most people won't see them because they are here a few weeks then bail, but those little innocent mistakes add up, and really mess up the forum. > > But this thread doesn't matter now, Recruitment Center forum is back, use that as usual. I'm not even going to moderate it anymore, I had enough of it before it was closed last month, if other moderators want to good luck to you. Well the experience I had here was this: -Post a thread asking for help on programming. -Get attacked and judged for my graphics. -Get called a noob several times. -Topic gets locked by angry moderator who doesn't like my graphics. -Topic gets locked again by an overzealous moderator who comments on every single post. -I complain, topic gets locked. -I pm the angry moderator asking what I did, he claims I had said I didn't use eclipse. -After a few PMs, I convinced the mod to re-read it. -Topic gets unlocked, after two pages of turm-oil. Clearly the bureaucracy here has problems that need to be addressed, since my original post had nothing wrong with it.
  2. I may be speaking out of place, but maybe a bit more leniency wouldn't hurt?
  3. Our game design team can supply isometric sprites once we finish animating them.
  4. @[WTF: > Rage link=topic=39017.msg378933#msg378933 date=1235113227] > I'd love to work on it, but I have to work out job - related issues first. > But there is a problem with ISO, if we do convert eclipse to ISO(with the diagonal tile based system) people will start asking for a straight version again. But you have to look at the positive aspects of an isometric conversion. There are literally no open source mmorpg isometric engines out there. This would have a huge impact.
  5. @УvøgêÑ: > [IG] link=topic=39017.msg378814#msg378814 date=1235101364] > Yeah im with you guys. My first ISO game that I ever really played was this one when it came out, for the time it was excellent: > Electronic Arts, The Immortal. > > ![](http://i384.photobucket.com/albums/oo282/devogeninteractive/theimmortal.png) > > Mind you, it was made in 1990, and was old enough to actually be released on the AppleIIe. > > Anyway point of my story is that ever since then ISO has pwnt 2D for me, so im pretty hell bent on making a full conversion of EE to ISO. I'm quite glad we pushed you into it devo, seems like something that could help a lot of projects.
  6. Would you perhaps like to join our project? http://www.piratestoryonline.com We're currently in need of a programmer and we have much talent! ![](http://img100.imageshack.us/img100/6362/psocaptainhatfz1.png) ![](http://img151.imageshack.us/img151/7019/psoblackhatdx5.png)
  7. @The: > …. except me.. right dearest anna? > lol anyway. > > thanks for the offer but i'm working on my own flash mmorpg ^^ > it is based around pirates lol... > so if your project trainwrecks you can always contact me (: I don't see why we can't combine project and get something smooth going ^^
  8. @The: > to be honest i love the graphics.. It would seem that you are a god of coding. Are you interested in joining our dev team?
  9. @Simius: > god, the dudes a noob be a little lighter. The guy has like 2 posts. We cant go around scaring people away. Thanks for the support… I guess... Anyways, still looking for a programmer. Doesn't even have to be isometric >.< Just capable with the engine.
  10. He said: > According to the forum they are coding their own. Since they have no permission from yourself, I'll lock the topic and remove the links. Yet our forum announcements are a few days older than our eclipse post. We've fumbled around different engines, came here, and wrote: > What we're looking for is a volunteer who is interested in joining the team and who is capable of **converting eclipse** into isometric. Original Post: http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/smf/index.php?topic=37636.0 I'm sorry if I offended you, but I don't think it's fair for mods to run around rampant based on personal feelings.
  11. Hiya! I'm currently doing an isometric pirate themed game with a few other people. We've tried working with other engines, but basically have been unsuccessful in getting something isometric and simple. We have really great artists and great community support! Our Site: **http://www.piratestoryonline.com** What we're looking for is a volunteer who is interested in joining the team and who is capable of converting eclipse into isometric. This game is non-profit.
